We had a stop in Cape Town on our way to a Safari and our travel agent selected the Grosvenor for us. We had a 4 night stay there. Debbie, Sue and the entire staff were very pleasant and accommodating.
Each room was a little different and were very clean and spacious. The views to False Bay were spectacular and having breakfast each morning overlooking Simon's Town and the Bay was one of the highlights of our trip. Boulder Beach (penguins) was only a 15 minute walk away and Cape Town and Cape of Good Hope were each about an hour drive so the location was fantastic.

Highly recommend the Grosvenor for your next Trip to the Cape Town area!

I had a great time staying at Grosvenor for 4 nights as I have been diving in Simon's Town with Pisces Dvers (they are great as well)
Grosvenor is walking distance from Boulders Beach where the famous Pinguins'colony is feeling so well on their natural and protected area (you can still walk and admire them on specific paths)
Simon's town offers different very nice beaches as well.
My room (they have a total of 5) was very clean and beautiful, the bathroom very big with all what I needed, including white big towels, soap ... perfect shower with warm water, desk, sofa and a nice view on the ocean.
The swimming pool is charming, clean and perfect for a jump in the morning or late afternoon.
The breakfast is gorgeous! fresh fruits, yogourt, cereals, fruit juices, coffee, tea, nice different breads, jam, all served in a buffet style on the lovely terrace facing the ocean.
A big room with comfortables sofas and a dining room are available as well as a big fridge for all guests.
The team is so nice, welcoming, helpfull.
I highly recommend this place to stay !!!! knowing I am a kind of very high end on details person, you can be sure all what I said is the reality :) this is why I took the time to describe everything :)

We stayed at The Grosvenor Guest House with family for the weekend. Had a magical time. Went paddling during the day, had a glorious lunch at the Lighthouse Cafe then back to The Grosvenor for a relaxing evening in front of a roaring fire. Rooms are luxurious & welcoming & after a good nights sleep we enjoyed breakfast on the patio overlooking the harbour. Everything you need for a good rest away from home. Close enough to get to after work in Cape Town yet far enough away to feel like you've had a worthwhile break. Highly recommend.

Thank you for your review. The team at the Grosvenor are so pleased you have a great birthday stay. How amazing is the kayaking - its one of our favourite activities in Simon's town. Now you'll have to come back and experience the Water Bike activity! Thank you for your support and we hope to welcome you back soon.

We spent a weekend at Grosvenor Guest House and were spoilt with an apartment with a beautiful view over the bay. It had everything you would need plus more. The kitchen was completely fitted. We only needed one bedroom but there were three more rooms if you were holidaying with family or friends.

My 2 tweens (14 and 12) and I desperately needed this personal getaway and most importantly, quality time. Despite living only 25km from this absolutely amazing guesthouse, it felt like we were in a different part of the country altogether. We visit the West Coast annually; however the Covid19 pandemic and Lockdown L3 restricted us from our familiar pleasures.

Our Suite with a kitchenette had the most Amazing view of False Bay and the Naval Harbour, our own balcony with much needed privacy. The guesthouse dressed with the swimming pool's sapphire blue waters, spacious outdoor lounging areas and coupled with cleanliness I consider as simply the best! The best! Unexpectedly so, as the pictures we see on the site, does not do this venue justice.

The Sunrises will sweep you off your feet. And the Sea air will take your breath away!!!

Simonstown offers so much to see and do; plan accordingly to make the most of Boulders, paddle bikes out to sea, Cape Point around the corner... Activities and attractions are plentiful! On that note, we got to enjoy the Ostrich Farm and Reptile Tour – my Tweens and I thoroughly enjoyed this!

Sue, Debbie, Paddy and Jonathan are remarkable hosts; welcoming, super friendly with warm hearts - we need more of you kind Souls in the hospitality industry. Thank you for sharing your Love. May the Universe pour out its positive energy to you fine people. We’ll definitely see you again soon rather than later.

Well, that said, I leave it to you viewers to experience. Tell me how YOUR stay was! :P

I cannot say enough good things about our stay at Grosvenor Guest House. Sue, our hostess, was warm and welcoming. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The veranda, where a delicious breakfast is served each morning, has a beautiful view! It's a fantastic choice and location. Loved our stay there!

Nice room with a great view! The staff and service are top notch! The breakfast is good, a bit more choice would be nice (tomatoes, cucumbers, etc., sausage and cheese were only available on 2 days). Eggs with bacon, etc. were always made fresh.
We would come back!

We had a lovely time in the Grosvenor Self catering guest house. We initially chose to be up in the main house with the four bedrooms and large kitchen with fire place, but when the younger generation chose to join us we opted to go down stairs to the fully one bedroom equipped with a kitchen and shower and internal sitting area. It is the perfect place to base yourself and meet up with friends. I would go back to the Grosvenor again and again. Jonathan and Porsche were very helpful in moving our stuff up and down stairs and assisting with laundry. A great find

We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Patrick met us with a smile and showed us to our room which was very spacious and clean with a lovely view of the Simons town Bay. The beds were comfy and the linen was lovely. The bathroom was also very spacious with lots of space for all our toiletries which is rare in Guest Houses these days. Breakfast was goof value and very pleasant. I would recommend a stay at the Grosvenor!

My daughter, her 3 children and I stayed at the Grosvenor Guest house in Simon's Town for 2 nights and what a treat it was!
Debbie and Jonathan were there to meet us and show us around.
The welcome basket was filled with delicious treats which we all enjoyed.
Each room is beautifully decorated and so comfortable. The views over the harbour and beyond are spectacular, specially at night.
The breakfast prepared by Jonathan the first morning was so wonderful that we decided to book it again for the following morning.
The guest house is well situated with an easy walk into town and the restaurants,as well as to Boulder Bay to see the penguins.
We were so sad to leave this beautiful house and will definitely be back!

Hello. We do have steps to access our property but for most people the steps do not prove challenging. Our staff are on hand to carry all baggage. Forest Hill Cottage only has a few steps to access the front door and then no more after that. Definitely your best bet and it is available on the dates requested. Walking into town one has to climb down steps to the main road. If you are not walking fit the steps can be difficult. We can always organise your a quick transfer into town or to the beach. Please contact me directly off my web site for for further information.
