My wife and I recently had occasion to stay in Cape Town for several days. En route back home to Gordon’s Bay, we decided to visit Scarborough and Misty Cliffs. Our daughter, herself in the hospitality industry, arranged overnight accommodation at Protea Point. The infrastructure and views of the bay and mountains are outstanding. The hospitality was excellent and the value for money very attractive. I was so impressed, we stayed an extra night! I can recommend Protea Point unreservedly. Tom Dale, Gordon’s Bay

This is not only the best B&B in South Africa, it’s the best B&B we’ve ever stayed in. The room was gorgeous and spacious, immaculately kept and cleaned and we had our own private balcony. The owners had genuinely thought about what their guests might like and then gone above and beyond. It was superb. The real gem of the place though was Liam, owner and master chef. He made us feel completely at home and we looked forward to our morning chats at breakfast (over the most amazing cooked breakfasts he did). He had great suggestions and restaurant recommendations - that always met our expectations. Liam genuinely felt like one of our mates, we were sad to say goodbye after 3 nights. If you’re thinking of booking here - you absolutely have to. After staying in some mediocre places in Cape Town, this felt like a palace. Thank you so much to Liam for your amazing hospitality.

My fiance and I stayed here for one night on our way from Cape Town city center to the Cape of Good Hope/Boulder's Beach. It is a very clean, updated, spacious, and cosy place to stay. The bedroom was large with wonderful views of the ocean, a waterfall, and part of the town from the large windows and private deck. The large bathroom had a double vanity, shower, and large soaking tub. The hosts were wonderful ... very kind, helpful, communicative, and welcoming and it was clear they take a lot of pride in the property and making your stay pleasant. We loved staying here and wish we had more time to enjoy the accommodations. We enjoyed the home cooked breakfast and conversation with the hosts. We would definitely recommend this B&B to our friends and family. It was a great value.

We came here and was so impressed with everything!! This place has it all!! They welcomed us with such warmth, care and happiness that I felt Like i was back home! After that they helped us to what ever we needed, they explained the best sites that you can find and explore in Simon’s town down to the last detail. When we finished talking whey took us to our room.. and it was gorgeous! We told them we are coming as a couple on their honeymoon and the bed was with flowers shaped like a heart and a complimentary bottle of wine. So thoughtful!! When we got up the amazing breakfast waited for us with an breathtaking view. I can’t Ignore the fact that this is the first time in Cape Town that I ate such an awesome and satisfying breakfast. They had everything we could thought of. If I could stay more I definitely would Highly highly highly recommended!!
