Ngorongoro Farm House, Tanganyika Wilderness Camps, garners high praise for its enchanting gardens, roomy accommodations, and engaging tours, not to mention the fresh cuisine and meticulous service, as noted by many guests. While the rooms are often described as comfortably rustic with stunning views, a few guests find them to be on the basic side.
The hotel's cleanliness and well-kept grounds earn consistent acclaim, alongside the value added by services like laundry. Despite occasional mealtime disorganization, the overall atmosphere is seen as inviting and tranquil.

We stayed at this hotel for one night at the end of our safari trip. This hotel is part of the TWC chain, where we had previously stayed at their other property in Lake Burunge. As such, we were already familiar with the overall setup.
The check-in process could be improved in terms of attention to detail. After a tiring 5-hour drive from Serengeti, guests don’t want to sit through a lengthy introduction, especially when we have already visited the sister hotel. It would be more helpful to focus on the key information, such as happy hour time, the coffee tour schedule, and meal times.
By the time we were informed about the coffee tour (which was a one-hour tour scheduled for 5 PM), it was already 5:40 PM, making it a moot point.
The room itself was large and spacious, with a rustic farmhouse feel. The hot water pressure was strong, and we could refill our water bottles from the cooler in the room. Tea was also provided. Although we tried to sleep in, we were woken up by the sounds of nature, particularly the chirping of birds.
The food was good; I particularly enjoyed the veggie stir-fry, which had a wide variety of vegetable options. However, since we were only there for one night, I can see it being repetitive.
The Wi-Fi was the biggest drawback for me. There is a limit of 5MB, so if you leave the Wi-Fi on overnight to sync your photos, it will use up all the bandwidth. When this happens, you have to rely on cellular data or switch to your laptop.
Lastly, while the grounds were beautiful, we couldn’t fully enjoy them since we were only there for one night. Our room was also quite far from the main building, and despite being fit, we had to budget about 10 minutes for a walk each way. If you forgot something in your room, returning for it would not be feasible. The pool area also didn't seem very lively, especially compared to the one at Lake Burunge.

The rooms are very spacious in individual houses, large bathroom with a shower and a separate tub. Best place to wash your clothes. Comfortable beds enclosed in mosquito nets. Good food. Vegetables are fresh from their farm. There is a coffee plantation within the property. Lots of different selections for your packed lunch for your Ngorongoro crater safari. Very nice place. Staff friendly and efficient. Thankful to our safari agent for picking this place.

We stayed here for 2 nights during our safari. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. The food was good, you must not forget that you are in East Africa. The vegetables and fruit as well as the coffee come from the garden of the complex. We can highly recommend the coffee tour (free). Happy hour from 6-7 p.m. with cocktails and snacks is included, otherwise drinks cost extra. The rooms are large and clean and have a very nice view, rather coolly furnished but functional. The complex is very well maintained and spacious. Recommended for 1-2 nights during the safari!

What can I say about our stay at Ngorongoro Farm House, on arrival the grounds provide a real WOW factor, the gardens are beautiful with stunning views. The room was lovely and the turn down was most welcome, we had a couple of scurrying lizards on the ceiling when the lights went on which I loved!! The food was sensational, fresh produce grown on site and if chose to was cooked right in front of you by one of their amazing chefs, Each and every member of staff was friendly and attentive, and the picnics that were organised for our safaris in the crater were delicious. The coffee talk was really interesting led by a great individual with a wonderful personal story. My husband and I joined in with the evening entertainment on our first night with a few members of a local tribe and we had a dance which is a fun memory that I will always remember. I would highly recommend a stay here to anyone planning a visit to the Ngorongoro Crater. You won’t be disappointed! We stayed 2 nights but would jave loved to stay longer :)

Thank you for a great stay at Ngorongoro Farm House. We only stayed there for one night - with the whole family - but had a memorable stay. People live in small houses in the area, very delicately decorated. The dining room is on a large terrace, partly indoors, partly outdoors. Nice people. Good food. Top. This used to be a real coffee plantation and coffee is still grown here, so be sure to take a guided tour around the plantation. We would love to come again.

The moment you step onto the Ngorongoro Farmhouse property, you are surrounded by a beautiful oasis filled with tall trees, coffee bean plants, flower and vegetable gardens and sprawling lush green lawns. The staff greet you with warm face towels and big smiles. You immediately know that you will be well taken care of.
The sprawling lodge where the meals are served is the epitome of casual elegance. Big windows bring the outdoors in and you have the option of eating in the lodge or on the expansive deck with gorgeous garden views.
The cottage-style rooms are filled with natural light, a fireplace and lovely, comfortable furniture. The crisp white bedding and fluffy duvet makes calling it a night especially delightful. If Pottery Barn and Crate and Barrel had a safari lodge baby, this would be it!
All of this is wonderful, but what makes it a place that I would love to return to is the staff. The manager was present at every meal and made sure my daughter’s meals followed her dietary restrictions. She even had the chef write out a recipe for gluten-free bread, as my daughter said it was the best she’d ever eaten. The meals were amazing and served by very polite and welcoming staff. Stephen was especially friendly and always took extra time to visit with us and ensure our needs were met. If you are fortunate enough to plan a stay at NF, you will not be disappointed.

This lodge was part of our safari tour. It is a beautiful property with its own vegetable, fruit and coffee plantation. We were greeted very warmly and welcomed with a damp cloth and a refreshment. The rooms are beautiful, very spacious and clean. The rooms are equipped with mosquito nets and mosquito spray and drinking water. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The food was a delight and we felt completely at home. They also offer a tour of the coffee plantation, which is very interesting and recommendable! We can recommend this accommodation to everyone.
It is advisable to have enough cash with you to give tips for carrying suitcases. These jobs are important and give the locals work. That is why tipping is common in Africa and is part of a trip. People depend on it. The lodge also has a box at reception where tips for all the staff can be left at the end of your stay.

If you enjoy good food, gorgeous views, and Happy Hour with gin & tonics, this is the perfect place to stay! Our group of four people (traveling for a 60th birthday celebration) loved the property, the gardens and the coffee bean plants growing all around us. Our packed lunches for the day safari were delicious... And, the restaurant staff even sang the Tanzanian version of the "happy birthday" song to us with cake and candles!

It was our first trip to Africa and one of the highlights was our stay at the Ngorongoro Farm House. The accommodations were exceptional as was the staff in general, but one particular person made our stay extremely special. He was the new manager in training by the name of Lisiantosi. One of the couples was celebrating their anniversary and he went out of his way to make it a special occasion. It included singing by the kitchen staff and a cake. If in debate about whether to stay there, our recommendation is a resounding YES.

We stayed for two nights at the farm house and felt very welcome from the beginning. The hotel area is quite big and the farm is really nice to walk around in. They also offered us a tour around, showing us their coffee plantation and giving us some insights into the local tribes. The room was quite big and a full concrete house, therefore offering quite good isolation during the night. The food was really good as well and offered a good variety due to their own farm. The staff was very nice and welcoming all the time.
