All accommodations are in very large cabins with with large bedrooms, sitting rooms, and covered porches at a comfortable distance away from your next door neighbors. The included food and inventive drinks were some of the best I had in two weeks in East Africa. They always had a "local" choice at dinner which I truly enjoyed. The staff was excellent and accommodating. They will light a fire in your cabin to take off the evening chill which was much appreciated. The pool is not heated. My only disappointment was that although this lodge is conveniently located close to the park entrance our original itinerary called for another lodge on the crater rim and this definitely is not.

Stayed two nights on way to Serengeti and chose as close to Ngorogoro National Park. Location is good, Park just a short journey away so early morning start is fine..

Grounds are excellent, well managed and on a rim so views terrific. You are in a coffee growing area and coffee plantings all around.

Lodge has central area for dining etc plus large luxury cabins with views over the valley. You are at an elevated position so expect cool temperatures. Staff provide hot water bottles at turn down, a necessary touch! and cabins have a fire in the sitting room and bedroom which can be made on request, would strongly recommend this.

Staff very helpful and friendly, food was fine for us and a lovely large area adjacent to restaurant and bar for after meal coffee around a fire is nice experience.

We had two minor gripes. While is room phone, there were no numbers provided so ended up walking up to reception to ask for fire to be lit. Also the Lodge is saving energy or creating atmosphere by dim lighting. This is fine but taken a bit too far for us as we could not read the menu!

Convenient location, great facilities and lovely staff, has to be a location to seriously consider, but bring warm clothing.

Absolutely beautiful property! Within 20 minutes of arriving, we knew we should have booked 2 nights here instead of just 1 night.

The plan was just passing through for a night and half day game drive on our way from Serengeti to JRO. I should have planned for 2 nights here to maximize our time enjoying everything the property had to offer.

The level of service here was undeniable and unexpected. The food was spectacular and the room (villa) was spacious, clean and unique. I loved sitting on the back porch listening to the baboon troop up the hill at sundown. I felt like I was in a Costa Rica rain forest, it was such a scene change from Serengeti.

The main restaurant area and bar was beautiful designed and comfortably furnished. The thatch roofs and wood work was beautiful and fit the rainforest safari feel with the various wood burning stoves. The atmosphere was relaxed, cozy and intimate.

The staff was above and beyond and extremely friendly.

When we arrived after a long (5 hour drive from central) the staff had already set up a lunch table and fed us before doing any check-in. It was a touch that was very much appreciated.

The turn-down service included the lighting of the fireplace within our room and few other above and beyond touches. It was a very comfortable room. The bed and linens are soft and the crisp night air was a welcomed change from the warm and dusty central Serengeti.

The food was fresh and many/most/all of the vegetables were coming from the gardens. The menu included local spices and traditional Swahili dishes and other options such as spaghetti, penne, and greek salads. It was fresh comfort foods paired with local cuisine and the best warm breads!

Neptune arranged our driver from central Serengeti, a game drive in the crater and personally handed us off to our final destination near JRO airport (3.5 hour drive).

Our game driver was excellent, we were able to find rhino's in the crater and he provided great service and knowledge. From the hotel to the actual crater gate was a 1 hour drive in the morning. It is about 35 minutes back since the exit is situated closer to the hotel.

The house vehicle was a new Lexus SUV. This was such a nice change from riding in the game drive vehicles after a week plus. Our driver was Neptune employee who was very nice and a great driver on the crazy Tanzanian roads.

When we come back to Tanzania, we will be staying here again for 2 nights so that we can really take in the property and all it has to offer.

Overall, exceptional experience that was surprisingly in cohesive with that we experienced at Lemala and Elewana properties and far better than the Four Seasons.

This lodge was the third lodge during our 9 day adventure. It worked out great because it is only 5 minutes away from the entrance to Ngorongoro Crater so we were able to get in right when the park opened. The grounds are beautiful! And the staff was very nice. The manger met us upon arrival with warm wash cloths for our hands and signature drinks. The food was delicious! I loved the snack trays they bring to you while you’re in the main lodge sipping a cocktail. The room was so nice! It gave me vintage safari vibes and I loved it! The outside deck has beautiful views!
Notes:
The room provided shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, cotton balls, and fresh glass bottled water.
A blow dryer was also provided.
Laundry service was NOT included but it wasn’t too expensive. We put our laundry in the basket in our room at night and it was picked up the next morning and returned to us that evening at turndown service.
We stayed in July and it was very chilly at night and in the mornings. It was cold in the dining room and in our room. I would highly recommend a fleece or light down jacket. When you sit down for dinner make sure you ask your server that you would like a fire lit in your room. We asked the first night, but the second night a gentleman came to our table and asked if we would like a fire lit and when.
They also provide a small heater in the bedroom. Between the fire, the heater and keeping the bedroom door closed it was perfect temperature.

We stayed in Room 18 for two wonderful nights. The view was spectacular from our balcony. The entire property is gorgeous and very well tended - lots of amazing flowers, trees, and plants which attract beautiful birds. Our room was almost beyond belief - it was larger than some apartments I lived in. We had two large rooms, each with its own fireplace, and a big bathroom. The beds were quite comfortable with hot water bottles in the bed at turn down time. The staff also put fresh flowers in the room each day.
The property is not fenced so staff escorts you to and from your room when it is dark.
The food was delicious and very plentiful. You certainly won't go hungry here. The Lodge grows much of its own produce and one afternoon Devota gave us a tour of the vegetable garden and the hothouse which was quite interesting.
The staff here is very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The reception staff loaned us an adapter as one of ours was broken. Special thanks to Auness, Fabian, Devota, and Lucas for a lovely stay.

From start to finish Neptune Ngorongoro Luxury lodge and their exceptional staff exceeded every expectation we had. Eva Munga delivered on her promises of providing an exceptional experience for our 25th wedding anniversary.

We were warmly greeted by the staff, including Rose, upon our arrival. Rose provided a simple and informative welcome introduction to the lodge, along with complimentary welcome drink, while the support staff whisked our bags to our beautiful bungalow home. On our first night we were treated to a beautiful African sunset from our private bungalow verandah that looked out over the jungle valley below. Words or pictures cannot do the location any justice. It simply needs to be experienced.

The staff are courteous, warm and attentive without being intrusive. They will go out of their way to make you feel like you are their only patrons. We cannot speak more highly of Rose who made sure our every need was met, to include ensuring the fires were lit in our bungalow at night. Gregory waited on us for every meal. He was an absolute gem, and in my opinion will go a long way with the Lodge. He was warm, attentive and met every request we presented with delightful enthusiasm. Each night, house keeping staff performed a turn down service that included chocolates, flowers, and hot water bottles for our bed.

This is the prefect establishment for both honeymoon or a special anniversary. They far exceeded every expectation we had. This lodge provides an ideal launching point for any romantic safari adventure. We recommend it enthusiastically.

We will return.

The lodge offers spacious cottages with 2 very big rooms - a living room and a bedroom. The cottages are furnished in very good taste and they are very comfortable. Both rooms have a fireplace. The view from the balcony is absolutely stunning!
The staff was very friendly and made us feel most welcome from the first minute. The check-in was made very smoothly, while we were sitting in comfortable armchairs.
The swimming pool is small but beautiful.
The food and the drinks are included in the price and everything we've tasted was delicious. The service was absolutely perfect.
The wine selection could improve though - the quality of food and the class of this lodge as a whole deserve proper wine list rather than just some limited choise of local wines.
The lodge has a very pleasant atmosphere, the lounge is a great place to have drinks.
The entrance to Ngorongoro conservation area is very close to the lodge.
Highly recommended!

The grounds are highly manicured reminding you of an English country garden with many flowering plants. Each villa is very large and includes a sitting area and a large covered porch with beautiful views of the plantation. Unfortunately, our villa smelled of mold. I opened all the windows, but we just could not eliminate the smell of mildew. The villa needed a good scrub down, with special attention to all the corners of the room. The furnishings, especially the occasional chairs looked in good condition, but needed to be professionally cleaned.
The location was convenient to the crater.
Overall, I would not recommend this property.

Great location with an amazing view. The cottages are simply outstanding and spacious with two fireplaces which are lighted every evening and a hot bottle that is placed inside your bed. The staff is extremely kind and we were very glad that there was room for jokes and informal conversations with them. The welcoming and the amount of luxury was a bit too much for us, but I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a royal stay. Please don’t forget to tip the staff, as they (in my opinion) really deserve it.

Neptune Ngorongoro Luxury Lodge has been here before proceeding safari to Crater.
Accommodation – Big Individual suite room living room with sofa couches and a day bed.
bedroom with a king-size bed, day bed, and sofa just feel like our own farmhouse in the bush. Both rooms have a wood fireplace.
Tea coffee in-room fresh coffee beans ground from the farm. Hot water bottle on the bed at turndown service.
Food – Superb enough choice and can always ask what you want will fulfill the requirement. Have visited an organic farm and fresh vegetables were cooked for us at the dinner time.
They do even have their own chicken farm for eggs and staff collect every morning for breakfast.
Nice Spa with forest view. We asked for an evening bone fire at the pool and it was organized well with wine before going for dinner. Manager Rakesh & Reception Martina will attend to you and make everything possible.
We wish it could be staying more in this heaven.
