We stayed here for one night after our Kili climb. The hotel grounds are beautiful, but the rooms were pretty basic. The shower only had cold water - we couldn't get hot water to run. It's definitely a letdown after coming down from 8 days without any shower to have a cold one at the hotel.

The food at the restaurant was average, at best - the buffet didn't have much variety (and costs $20/person). The breakfast wasn't much better. The staff was friendly, though.

All in all, it was good enough for one night stay.

We stayed in the Salinero Kilimanjaro Hotel for three nights prior to our Kili summit and two nights afterwards. The hotel is clean and located in a very nice neighborhood. In fact, we enjoyed walking around the neighborhood several times. We were also able to walk into Moshi to do some shopping, get money, etc.

We stayed in one of the garden rooms, which was quite nice. The rooms are well-appointed and comfortable. Breakfast was included for us, and we had fresh mango juice, fruit, eggs, etc. - very good way to start the day!

The staff was wonderful! Everyone was helpful and eager to make sure that we had a good stay.

We stayed a total of four times between climbing Kilimanjaro, safaris and a trip to Zanzibar. Rooms vary in terms of water pressure and WiFi but all are spacious and very comfortable. Food was fine, nothing exceptional but all very tasty and staff are wonderful. We were very well taken care of on every visit, and treated the hotel as our home away from home.

The airport shuttle drivers were waiting for me after I got my VISA. Very polite and professional drivers.
Thy both spoke English very good and we all had an excellent conversation while driving to the hotel.
Once at the hotel, my checkin was flawless and had a bellhop take my bags to the room.
The room was very spacious and quite nice! Beautifully arranged room and nice bathroom where the shower was constructed with a nice wood border with very nice tile walls in a nice decorative manner. Bathroom vanity was top notch. The on-site dinner house was even better and I shared an excellent conversation with the staff while my food was flawlessly prepared. The Kahawa-coffee is quite strong and tasted great! Asanti

The town of Moshi does not provide a large choice of good money-for-value accommodation. Salinero Hotel however is as good as it gets. We stayed there before our Kilimanjaro hike and in the past also spent a few nights there during the tourism exhibition Kilifair. Don't expect big time luxury here, but the staff and the good food which is served male you feel right at home.

I had one of the most exhilarating and character building experiences of my life trekking to the roof of Africa with Almighty Kilimanjaro. I was one of five clients, and although I went out solo, I quickly gelled with the group. We had three excellent guides including Dickson, Alan and Jackson

The highlights of the trip I wanted to share was:

1) Being immersed within a unique rainforest ecosystem with endemic species of plants and animals including but not limited to bamboons, colobus monkeys, blue monkeys and a magnificent array of wild mountain flowers such as impatiens kilimanjari.

2) Trekking through the astonishing barranco Valley which is a haven of life, flourishing with bizarre plants that resemble a cross between a palm tree and a cactus that are unique to the kilimanjaro region

3) Journeying through scenery of truly epic proportions including the lava tower, the barranco wall and the glacier capped (still) mountain peak of Kibo. Being above the clouds for the majority of the trek and seeing the looming mount Meru in the distance meant that we were never without a magnificent view

4) Last but not least, the friendly, dedicated and incredibly hard working local guides, cooks, porters, cleaners and others who make this journey possible.

5) The day of the ascent to Kibo summit was probably the hardest physical challenge I've ever completed - it took place at midnight and involved a 7 hour almost non stop hike up steep difficult terrain in pitch black apart from a small headlamp lighting the path. Once we reached the summit, we quickly had to turn around and hike back down for another 4 hours to reach base camp. After one hour rest, we had another 4 hour hike to a lower altitude camp: We hiked for a total of 15 hours that day!

All in all, I would definately recommend the Lemosho Kilimanjaro hike for its beauty and Almighty Kilimanjaro was a good company who kept us safe and most importantly, cooked filling and tasty food and ultimately got us all to the top.

Stayed here for one night after climbing Kilimanjaro.

The grounds are very well maintained. The welcome we received was warm and friendly; as with most of our experiences in Tanzania people cannot do enough to help you.

We were led to our room which was more than adequate; comfy beds, warm showers (really appreciated after the Kili climb!), TV, bottled water available, soaps and shampoo etc. Yes, some of the electrics left a little to be desired, sockets hanging off wall etc. Just avoid them!

We had breakfast and dinner here, both of which were to a good standard. Chefs on hand to assist with your choice or prepare fresh pasta / omelettes for you (thank you, Franco!) Hotel bar remained open for as long as we wanted while we celebrated our successful Kili trip.

Our team made use of the outside space including swimming pool, which was good and we were even treated to monkeys jumping through the trees while we swam.

Would happily stay here again.

This hotel was beautiful and perfect to come back to after our hike to the top of Kilimanjaro. The only reason they don’t get a five out of five is because the dinners were a little hit or miss. Other than that the service was outstanding and the breakfast was included and offered a great variety including an omelet bar every morning.

I arrived to the hotel at midnight after traveling for 12 hours. Upon arrival, they greeted me and said they’d be with me in a few minutes. Then, 3 people began whispering in Swahili while continuously looking over at me. I kept asking over and over if there was a problem. They kept telling me no and then continuing to whisper. About 20 minutes later, after becoming even more exhausted and frustrated, I demanded to know what was the problem. They told me they didn’t have my reservation (even though I showed it to them) and they had no rooms. Rather than just saying that initially, they left me sitting there wondering and wondering. They spent an additional hour whispering and making phone calls to other hotels to find me a place to stay. They are now all outside talking about god knows what, not informing me what’s happening. This is beyond ridiculous. Who knows where I will end up. I just want to go to sleep.

The recent reviews did not do justice to the experience we had. Didn't want to write this til I stayed in at least two other places in Tanzania. The good points here are the internet is very good and the rooms were air conditioned. The food was basic and almost the same each night, and not the tadtidd or best, even for buffet food. Breakfasts were a bit better. Positive - they did make espressos without charge. But no one came to clean our room in the three nights we were there or check the supplies. It was ok.
