Great reception when arrived and close to walk to town from here. Clear communication and we had the best time. For a family of 5 they have catered for all our needs and Geoffrey was very helpful when we arrived. Would highly recommend anyone to stay here

Loved this guesthouse, centrally located, clean and beautiful views. Nothing was too much trouble. The bed was very comfortable and the service was fantastic. The room is spacious and have all the amenities that you need.

Stayed here for a couple of night and was immediately amazed with the room. We had the equivalent of a modern apartment with all the mod-cons which was very comfortable. The owners were very pleasant and couldn't do enough for you, sharing their local knowledge, helping to book activities and making sure you got to where you needed to with a minimum of fuss. The only interesting twist we had was the local guard cat breaking in one night but this was our mistake and he's a friendly chap. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

We only planned to stay 1 night in Mossel bay, but due to this guesthouse being Such a lovely place we stayed another. There are some great restaurants in the area but taking out or cooking yourself and having dinner on the balcony or in the garden is unbeatable. Will reccomend to everyone!

We recently stayed at Asgard Valhalla and both Mignon and Geoffrey were very accommodating and helpful. The Rooms are big and spacious with all the amenities to make the stay comfortable. We stayed in both number 2 and number 3 and 7 and they were all perfect. Close to the harbor, shops & the hospital. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

We loved our stay here. The room, while small, had everything we needed. It was very well organized, tasteful and lovely. The little kitchen was appreciated and well-equipped. The main guesthouse had a great view over the town, and it was a short walk downhill to the waterfront, where we had a nice dinner.

LOCATION
Right in Mossel Bay. A short walk down to the water front wharf where we went for dinner and walking distance from cafes and some shops for breakfast.

ROOM
Our room was nice and spacious. Shower was a little small but did the job.
Plenty of space for our stuff. Comfy bed.
Off street secure parking.

FACILITIES
Common courtyard area that can be used and a nice balcony area to enjoy the view. Free Wi-Fi.
The host was great with directions and check in.

OVERALL
We had limited time in Mossel Bay but I found this place to be just what was needed for our drive along the Garden route.

This b&b is just lovely! My room (7) was spotlessly clean, kitted out with kitchen equipment plus tea, coffee and biscuits and had great views over the bay. Geoffrey was great and couldn’t do enough for you- always on hand if you had a question and welcomed me in with a glass of wine! I would totally recommend this place if you are staying in Mossel Bay!

We stayed here as we travelled the garden route and it was excellent! We had room #7 which was furthest up the hill and offered incredible views of the bay... simply breathtaking!
The room itself was a delightful apartment with partial kitchen amenities like a fridge and cooking facilities. The bed was spacious and the room felt luxurious yet cozy.
We’d stay here again definitely!

We only had one night at the Valhalla Guest House but we really enjoyed staying there. Even though we arrived very late, we were welcomed very nicely with two glasses of wine!

The beautifully furnitured room provides everything you need (hair dryer, small kitchen, small table outside with two chairs). The room was very clean.

There was also a secure parking lot and the staff provided us with own keys so we were able to open the gate without asking the staff.

The staff was very friendly and happy to welcome us at Valhalla Guest House.

We noticed some tiny (very tiny) ants in the sink but they had an ant-trap in the room so I guess they are aware of this problem - they actually didn't disturb us as we just flushed them down the sink.

"Room 2 was great, up a few steps and you're there would be difficult for disabled. There is a room, more or less at the same level as the car park, but I'm not sure of its number."
