I've traveled the world and can honestly say this place is one of the best Backpackers I've ever stayed at. Friendly service, clean, nice breakfast and awesome facilities. Will be back for sure. Just a pity we were about to go on lockdown for covid19 which meant the bar had to close at 6pm which obviously was the right thing to do.
If you're looking for accomodation in Mossel Bay - look no furter! This is one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at! The service is on point, the location is great and the hostel has the kind of soul that instantly makes you feel at home. I had the pleasure of staying here as part of my Garden Route itinerary, and this was by far the cosiest place my friends and I stayed at. The morning of our departure, I got hit by a real bad stomach virus, which left me unable to travel anywhere. Whilst the hostel was fully booked at this point, the wonderful staff provided me with a couch to rest on and full access to a bathroom. They checked in several times to ensure that I was doing okey, and I never once felt unwelcome there (despite having checked out of my room, and not exactly being a pleasant sight for other guests). They let me stay here until I was feeling better and my friends came to pick me up. A special warm thank you to Warren for tucking me in with a blanket, and for making me feel better in a vulnerable situation. You are an absolute GEM!!!! Also - my friend forgot some of her stuff in our room, and the lovely staff kept it safe for her until we returned almost a week after, without any issues. The lovely lady in the counter even remembered me, and welcomed us back in such a warm and variant way. If I ever go back to Mossel Bay, I’m definitely staying here! Lots of love…
We booked for 7 nights we Google the place and the pictures on the website is what made us booked the place .We payed over R26 000 for a family of 9 pax .When we arrived we where so disappointed .None of the rooms that we booked look like the photos the VIP room that’s was R1100 per night my room at home was more VIP then this room the dorm o my word l don’t even want to go there .The toaster looks like it come out of Noah ark .They said the room got a small fridge in and a tv there was no tv and no such thing in the room. We wanted to cancel the booking but we where told they don’t give refunds .Totally disappointed they owe us half of the money back .
Very good service and excellent facilities. Really good vibe and would recommend this very highly. Just missed a washing machine as my stay was for quite a long time. Great guest area to mingle around a fire every night, play pool or have a drink or just soak up the sun by the pool
What a tranquil place for a backpackers. It was nothing that I expected! I was completely blown away by its beauty and creative use of space. I would highly recommend this hotel for private and dorm style stay
One of the most elaborate and wonderful backpackers I've ever stayed at- the place was huge! We stayed in a private room which was spacious and comfortable. There is a wonderful kitchen where you can self cook, several seating and hangout areas, and they do a nightly braai which you can choose to join, and breakfast is included in your stay. There is also a pool and lovely gardens. The location is excellent and in walking distance of a few restaurants, the beach, and other fun things. The staff is kind and helpful and there is a large activities desk to help you with anything you are looking to do. I would stay here again and again if I could! Highly recommend!
We arrived there and the staff were very friendly. They welcomed us in and showed us the great facility’s. Free pool, free breakfast, great kitchen and dining area. Due to the season we were there the pool was out of use. It was one of our friends birthdays so on one of the nights were very irritating but they were very forgiving and understanding.
Such a beautiful room with private pathway overlooking the pool area. Very spacious rooms and a beautiful hotel overall. Staff were very helpful and breakfast was very good with a wide choice on the menu. Hotel is very secured. In the evening there is not so much to do in general at Mossel Bay as restaurants, though hotel is walking distance from the main centre.
Really loved this backpackers. Is a cool and fun place to hangout. Damien works hard doing various roles in the hostel to make sure the guests have a great stay. Just watch out for the jenga drinking game - it’s lethal!
We stayed here for 1 night in a private room. It is an ideal place for backpackers. The manager (I forgot her name) was very helpful. She allowed us to check out early and kept our baggage for our tour guide to pick it up later while roamed around a bit in the morning. Breakfast spread was nice and delicious. For dinner we had a Chicken Boboitee (Not sure If I spelled it right) which was good. It is very close to the Cape St Blaize Lighthouse. We checked out the Dias museum as well. Since we didn't have a car - we walked to both of them.
