It would be difficult to find a better location than the Bay Lodge to enjoy the Beach facilities and views of Mossel Bay. The accommodation is located to give a very peaceful stay together with a very spacious courtyard and relaxing pool . Breakfast can be taken both indoors or on a superb beach veranda Rooms are very spacious and exceptionally clean providing magnificent sea views both from your room and balcony.. Staff are very helpful in giving local advice including booking of restaurants and we would most certainly return to Bay Lodge on The Beach when next in Mossel Bay..

My husband and I spent 2 nights in the superior suite 1 in Bay Lodge. It was our first time in Mossel Bay and although the weather was truly horrible during our stay, we still absolutely loved our experience at Bay lodge.
Things we loved: 1. The location mere steps from the beach in a quieter residential area between mossel bay and hartenbos was a perfect choice. We were secluded enough to feel like we had the whole beach to ourselves, but a short 20 minute drive into mossel by itself and 5 minutes from the large langeberg mall in one direction and the impressive hartenbos shopping centre in the other.
2. The room was spacious and comfortable with the added touches of a microwave for convenience. The glass wall with amazing views onto the beach cannot be beat. The gem within this gem was the private balcony with comfortable chairs and gorgeous view.
3. The service at check in was impeccable and friendly with a full tour given of the premises.
Things that could be improved: 1. Service at breakfast was really slow. We needed to get on the road to our next destination and the slow service at breakfast delayed our day a little. The food was really good though.
2. The parking is off street and not very secure. The neighbourhood seems safe so perhaps I am just being a paranoid Joburger, but it was slightly stressful to park our car just open outside.
Overall we would definitely choose bay lodge if we return to mossel bay, hopefully when there isnt gale force winds!

My Partner and I were travelling from Cape Town and were looking so forward to checking in at Bay Lodge from the afternoon to spend the day there. Our anticipated 4 hour drive turned into many more hours on the road due to roadworks which resulted in us only arriving after 20h00. The staff were absolutely superb in calling to check that we were still due to arrive, safe on the road, and despite missing the 20h00 check in curfew, the staff at Bay Lodge made sure that we were warmly welcomed and comfortably checked-in in the dark of the night. This hospitality continued into the morning before check-out at breakfast where we were greeted with smiles and shared laughs despite the rain that came over on the day. Superb local experience, attention to detail and compassionate hospitality all round. Thank you

This guest lodge offers high quality accommodation with friendly and professional staff to welcome you. You can expect a delicious full English breakfast on the patio whilst enjoying the magnificent view of the Bay of Diamonds. I would highly recommend this guest lodge and hope to visit again in the future.

Thank you to the staff and owners for such a memorable stay, the staff are genuinely sweet and helpful, the location is breathtaking and literally on the beach , the guesthouse is modern and very clean, the decor is spot on . The guesthouse has so much to offer that many other guesthouses cant, the guesthouse has a swimming pool , jacuzzi on the deck over looking the ocean , braai facilities,pool table, water machine and ice machine.. you don’t have to leave , the rooms have everything in , Mini bar , snacks, wine, a microwave , dinnerware..They have great patio furniture on the deck out looking the ocean which is a real dream to just sit and relax and enjoy the spectacular view ..the beds are of 5 star quality. We just really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the guesthouse

Luxury holidays on the beach. We were extremely happy in Bay Lodge. We love the jacuzzi on the beach, pool, ocean view, braiii on the fire. The breakfast was luxurious, we eat always Eggs Benedict with salmon or big African/ English breakfast. Our big dog was accommodated for free and was allowed to sit on the sofa. We are looking to come back again. Wonderful bay, we made a hours walking there, clean and safely. The staff it professional and kind. My kid loves it there!

We stayed at Bay Lodge for the third time and this time there was a lot of noise. The two rooms adjacent to us were having parties , 2 nights in a row, until 05:00 in the morning. I get the idea that there is no supervision after 20:00 in the evening and then guests take matters into their own hands. We did complain at reception after the first night, but the same happened on the second night. Below our room there is a Jacuzzi and on the first night they were making such a loud noise that we had to close our balcony door. There should be more strick rules at the premises and also a curfew for the quests, otherwise I shall not recommend this lodge anymore.

The caretaker taking care of us was very good and all the people there who helped us such as the breakfast ladies were very helpful too. The view is amazing next to the beach. Big kitchen with all facilities is provided. Washing machine as well. All of it really is excellent no more to say.

We were warmly welcomed by Michelle and Kayla. As we were a bit too early for check in, they took our luggage to a freshly cleaned room whilstwe went sightseeing. Breakfast was divine on the terrace. We will definitely visit Bay lodge again.
