This is 5 star luxury at its best. The atmosphere in this hotel is lovely. Old and modern, combine to make it most pleasant. All the amenities that one could wish for. The rooms are modern and fresh albeit a tad small. The bathrooms are fantastic to say the least, with a large bath and a lovely shower. Two basins...

Truly a wonder of architectural history and loving restoration. what I love about this refurbished hotel is the classy way it has been done. From the sumptuous linen curtains, the furnishings, art and details. This is a taste of old world South African history packaged with luxury. Well done to the designers who had restraint not to tart the place...

The attention to detail is amazing. The staff extremely helpful and the food absolutely wonderful. The hotel is in the city center within walking distance of historical sites. The rooms are clean and tastefully furnished. A definite must see would be the manor house.

Personally this was a trip down memory lane. The Drostdy provides a glimpse back in time, with an excellent refurb. Magnificent original water colours of plates by Norman Lighton for Roberts birds reference. A visit to the various museums is of great interest. And a short drive to the Valley of Desolation towards sunset is a must. However, there is...

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful historic town. The decor is beautiful throughout. Had a wonderful peaceful stay. Our room was one of the smaller ones, but still lovely with a small private patio. It only had a shower, but no bath. The service was good and the breakfast delicious. Dinner too was superb, however the prices, even when compared to...

Our room was wonderful, the bathroom to die for and the location of the Hotel is perfect. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The setting of the breakfast and dining rooms were also perfect. The Hotel allowed us to have a private get-together in one of the big rooms that had a small lounge and we all enjoyed...

Got told how beautiful the hotel was by a friend and so I went to have a look but was turned away at the gate by some rude security lady whom provided no reason? Guess i'll never know if it's pretty or not.

As a child I lived in this beautiful town for 5 years. I remembered how we went to eat Sunday lunch there as a family. My family emigrated to Australia when we left Graaf-Reinet many years ago. Now back after many years I had the priveledge to stay over in the Drosdy. It has been upgraded in recent years to...
