Drostdy was our last stop on the way home after what was our most memorable December break ever. Not only was it pure delight from the moment we walked through the door but somehow making this our stopover on a 1900km trip made the long, tedious roads disappear in a faint memory. The food is spectacular, the rooms ultra luxurious...

There were issues with our standard room so we were efficiently and pleasantly upgraded to a suite that was excellent. Apart from the issues in the standard room the design was bizarre; long and thin. 31 sq metres in total but in a 10m by 3m configuration with a bathroom almost as large as the bedroom and hardly any room...

On our way from KZN to CT we stopped at the Drosty overnight after a long drive. The welcome was great and our rooms were ready and very comfortable. We had a marvellous meal that was very tasty and well prepared. The ox tail is to die for. The service was a bit slow and haphazard but the ambience and...

Really beautiful hotel, newly renovated with a great attention to details. The premises are really nice and it is a pleasure to stay there and discover the different parts of the hotel. Excellent service and a great restaurant! I highly recommend it and would definitely stay here again.

The new Drosty is a truly special place. From the accommodation, gardens and restaurant it was a absolute pleasure. For a experience to be remembered, the Drosty will provide. The design and layout of hotel and gardens are unique. A must visit.

The hotel looks great, both outside and inside, very central location in town. Historic building, with all the modern comfort of a new hotel. The bedroom itself was rather small compared to the size of the bathroom (standard room), but was still very comfortable. Excellent breakfast: wide selection and excellent taste. Would definitely stay there again.

Such a stunning relaxing property with friendly service, great food and comfortable beds. Cannot fault it, sorry to be moving on. Add this hotel to a Northern Cape tour, visit the Valley of Desolation, golf or just chill out and relax at this beautiful property.

We had a lovely evening! The springbok carpaccio and lamb kofta starters were tasty albeit the portions were quite large. The lamb chops and seared springbok were delicious and done to perfection. Staff were attentive. Ambience was beautiful. All in all a lovely meal and a lovely evening!

We stayed at this place about 20 years ago. Sadly, there is not much left from the old place - the hotel has expanded, so did the restaurant. However it is a very nice garden place with lots of bungalows in the middle of the town. Good value for money, very nice room. The only drawback is the swimming pool...
