The hotel is housed in a most charming building, amid attractive surroundings, in the centre of the quaint Victorian town. The hotel contains many stately public rooms including a cigar bar annex library. And there’s a good restaurant. The guest rooms, which are situated outside the main building, are extremely comfortable, well appointed, and strikingly good-looking. There is ample gated...

Nice enough hotel but lacked the nostalgia one would of expected from a Rupert restoration project . Food was good but evening meal and wine was overpriced for the quality presented. Service was acceptable except they wanted to come and clean the room before 07h30. Parking although secure was totally unshaded and in 37deg temp everything was too hot.

Stayed 2 nights in January 2017. Cant fault the hotel accommodation --we were lucky to have afforded a suite --our guide who came with us said the standard rooms are small, but we must speak as we find and say it had all we needed including a comfortable bed air conditioning and a beautiful bathroom. No complaints. Breakfast was generous...

We stayed 4 nights at this beautifully restored hotel. It is absolutely charming with a terrific range of public rooms. We stayed in an Executive room, which was really spacious with a nicely furnished terrace. We did see one of the bachelor rooms which really are only suitable for 1 person, they are very small. Breakfast was excellent, delicious and...

I loved my stay at Drostdy. We were only staying for one night so we chose the standard room. When we entered the yard we were skeptical because the building was so periodic looking but the interior was modern. It was a beautiful well kept yard. Everything was neat and had its place. Their pool was so clean and inviting...

We had a great 2 night stay at this picturesque hotel. The rooms are beautifully decorated and comfy. Bathrooms are luxurious in tasteful black & white. Service was great and breakfast was tasty. Hotel grounds are magnificent, with lovely pools, water features, vines and sculpture.

As I arrived I got treated with the utmost kindness. Staff is really trained well and helpful. After I checked in I got asked if I need help with my bags, even though it was just a laptop bag and a garment bag. I was escorted to my room and told how the various simple things work. There is a...

A beautiful hotel of great historical interest. Wonderful use of old quarters for rooms and a great lay out of pools and rooms which were tastefully decorated. A wide selection on the buffet table for breakfast only to be let down by poor service when ordering eggs and trying to get coffee. On two morning we ordered poached eggs: the...
