This is our first time in Seychelles so we are staying on three islands. Mistake! I can’t imagine anywhere getting close to this stunning place. The accommodation is first rate with each chalet having private access to the beach. Spacious rooms kept pleasantly cool, with generous outside facilities meant this felt like home immediately. Food is obviously prepared with great care. Presentation is splendid and the variety amazing for a small hotel. Walking in the forest is a fabulous experience. It is safe and spectacular. Sadly the access roads are not clearly marked so it’s easy to take a wrong turn. No problem, as the island is so small, but this should be the experience of a lifetime for more people. Birdwatching is amazing. It’s almost too easy to see birds that are never to be repeated. Snorkelling is relatively easy for moderate swimmers and the reefs are full of stunning fish and turtles. My wife had a fall and didn’t feel confident to swim out to the reef so missed out. The subdued lighting in the restaurant makes the unmarked step a hazard. This is a pity and should be corrected. The best part of this place is the staff. It’s not possible to name everyone who was awesome, but from the moment we arrived Faizal made us feel it was a privilege and pleasure to help us. Tika’s unbounded enthusiasm and knowledge of fauna and flora was amazing. Such consistent high quality service can only happen if there is a strong, caring management team. First time to the Seychelles and absolutely the most tranquil and relaxing, unspoilt place to stay. All the staff from the gardener, farm-hand to managers were both very friendly and polite with just right approach, so we cannot make any special mentions. My wife is gluten and lactose intolerant and despite only giving the island 2 weeks notice, they fell over backwards in ensuring we had almond milk (special and difficult to obtain) and at each meal there was not only careful labelling on the lunchtime buffet but there was always a good dinner choice for her. The lunch and evening dining food was always delicious and a first class experience. The head chef (from South Africa and sorry forgotten his name) produced some excellent dishes and seamlessly provided for my wife. Much of the food is very fresh and grown/raised on the island's farm. Accomodation in the separate spacious villas was good with a refreshingly different outside, open bathroom. Each very private and open garden onto the beach. Despite expectations we hardly experienced any mosquitos problems. The new swimming pool is marvellous and often we were the only ones in. We spent 10 idyllic days there and look forward to returning sometime in the future, although we would probably split with another resort in the Seychelles just to experience more of the Seychelles.

Denis Island is a hidden gem, upon landing on the airstrip and being taken to reception for a refreshing cold towel and a pallet refreshing arrival drink. Attentive staff are ready to swiftly check you in and take you to your breath taking room with stunning beach access from your own private garden. Rooms are decorated to a very high standard with beach chic tones truly stunning and welcoming, leading to a open bathroom with all amenities provided. Private outdoor shower and bath tub again beach chic contemporary feel. Your own bicycle to access the island makes you feel closer to island life as you can. Huge collection of land Tortoise and not to forget Toby of a grand age of 124 wow and he is very fond of attention and if you ask the restaurant they will provide you with some green leaves that he is particularly partial to. Denis Island amazes you when you take a tour to see the hidden beaches or the farm with a huge range of animals that enables the resort to be sustainable in every way. When visiting the farm be sure to call out for Bob in the goat enclosure he is the cutest and answers to his name. Farm to fork concept on the island provides the freshest of food, island grown fruit and vegetables the attention to detail is truly incredible. If your looking for relaxing around the infinity pool or your wanting some adventure along the cycle routes that have been designated your time on Dennis is unforgettable. Not forgetting to mention the staff whom can not do enough for you leaving a lasting impression in your memories. Thank you for an incredible stay Denis i cant wait to return.

A very lovely place. Their is nothing which is left. The Island is completely ecological. Everything is made with love. We were on the island for our time of quarantine on the Seychelles. On the island this was well organized. We had enough space for distance, the temperature was daily taken and everything was desinfected after use. So we could enjoy the whole island with very delicious and exclusive meals and a perfect service. After an very exhausting year 2020 we really felt like in holidays. You could go swimming, diving, snorkeling, stand up paddeling, fishing, playing tennis...... And on top there were nice turtles which are raised there. But all the time we felt completely safe

This is one of the top private island hotels in the world. Everything about it makes spending even just a few days unforgettable. From its size (big enough to hold a small vibrant Seychellois community, but small enough to enjoy by bicycle), to the colonial elegance of the rooms, to the incredible conservation activities that offer a unique glimpse at sea, land and air life, to the pristine white beaches, to the incredible sea at the edge of the drop-off, here you can touch the glorious luxury of unplugging from digital distractions and reconnecting with the earth and yourself. Each cottage and villa, situated with great care to guarantee absolute privacy, is tastefully decorated echoing Seychelles’ colonial past and finely furnished with wood and objects crafted in the island’s carpentry. The bathrooms open to a private courtyard with open-air shower and separate entrance for when you return from the beach. Food is world-class, attentively adjusting to specific preferences. Fantastic and professional hospitality is offered by all the staff 24/7. I hope I can wait out the next global pandemic on Denis Island! I spent 8 nights there (stayed an extra night gratis due to the flight schedule) after 2 weeks at crowded resorts elsewhere in the Seychelles. Denis Island provide the 'coddling' I was so needing after a long year of quarantines and lockdowns. When I arrived there were 12 other guests, by the time I left, just me (tho some arrived on the plane I left on). What a luxury -- private vila, private beach (well I did have to share it with a number of crabs, terns, and noddies), and excellent and unobtrusive staff.

We came here after a 20 year gap and 31 years after our first visit. In short, it is better than ever. As a private island, it feels like a luxury home and definitely not a hotel or resort. You can walk everywhere, and will be greeted by everyone you see on the island. As they have a working farm, there are always people tending the animals and grounds; quite apart from the excellent team looking after your room and in the "Lodge". The lodge is a spectacular space for drinks and meals, and adjacent to a very nice (and never crowded) swimming pool. It creates a very nice atmosphere, where you can be on your own or chat to other guests. With no TV, mobile reception or Wifi in rooms, you simply unwind; and the addicts can get wifi in the Lodge. The rooms are very spacious, well appointed and comfortable. Food is uniformly excellent, and the creole evening and BBQ and Japanese evenings were very popular.
Go and treat yourself. It really is as good as others say and as shown in the pictures.
We will try and not leave it another 20 years........

This Island and hotel are an absolute must if you are visiting the Seychelles and you want to experience the very best beaches, nature and hospitality. It isn’t a cheap option as there are only 23 bungalows available and the only way to get there is by a small plane which you need to pay for separately. However, once you arrive, you will not be disappointed. The beaches are pristine with soft white sand, the meals (all included) are of excellent quality - lots of choice for breakfast, a 3 course lunch and a 5 course evening meal or buffet each day - you definitely won’t go hungry. The staff are brilliant and ensure that you are very well looked after from start to finish. They could not have done more to make us feel welcome.
We were lucky to stay when there were only a few bungalows occupied, so it often felt like we had the whole island to ourselves.
We enjoyed exploring the island by bike to visit the farm which produces much of the food served on the island. We also enjoyed seeing and learning about the many species of birds that reside on the island. There are turtles in a few of the bays close to shore and it was such a fantastic experience to swim alongside them whilst snorkelling and watch them popping their heads up from the beach.
We can’t wait to visit Denis again - it’s such a magical experience.

We are so fortunate to return to Denis to find its beauty and serenity just as wonderful as it was when we were there last, if not even more beautiful. This is just what we needed after such a long time being confined in our country. The Masons have maintained the island so beautifully and with every attention to detail is not forgotten. We had some nice walks around the island and took in some of the interesting things that make Denis so special. When there one can feel so independent, relaxed, and removed from the rest of the world.
We were pleasantly surprised to see their boat come back with a payload of fish two times a day, for those who fish they must have thought they were in utopia. For us lovers of fine cuisine it was also a great souvenir enjoying fresh yellow fin tuna and Bougois which is the best fish in the Indian Ocean. On offer were such a great variety of beautifully prepared dishes to choose from and also special theme evening specials to keep you entertained and your taste buds satisfied.
After a week on Denis you will be truly refreshed and ready for the challenges that lie ahead.

From what I can recall it ranges from ÂŁ25 upwards. Cocktails were approximately ÂŁ13-ÂŁ16. No idea about sparkling water but water was free and readily available.
There are more places to choose from in the Denis Island area.
