Detailed Reviews
We arrived to wonderful friendly staff, and even though we were early our room was ready and they allowed us to check in early.
The rooms are spacious with a King size bed, kitchenette in case you want to do self catering, the bathroom is large with a huge rain shower head and a large bath tub, and each room has an air-con.
WiFi is fabulous and must be the best in Maun. They have Braai facilities available which is set away from the main sleeping rooms, and outside each room is a table with chairs if you want to sit outside and enjoy the peace.
Even though it is close to the main road, you do not have the road sounds when you are in your room, and the little garden in the courtyard is very calming. It is close to a local bar and restaurant, for your convenience.

I visited Botswana from South Africa with my 9 year old son and my mother. We stayed at Queness Inn. The accomodation was very clean, comfortable and the furnishings were brand new. The self catering unit afforded us the opportunity to cook our own meals and the braai facilities were cleaned every day. We had daily housekeeping services and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. A lovely garden greeted us every morning when we stepped out of our unit. Travelling as a female, the 24 hour security was a true comfort. The other guests that stayed at the Inn were all friendly and we did not have any noise or trouble being a family of females Travelling alone. Truly a lovely place to stay and real value for money. I will stay here again if I visit Maun again.

This new lodge offers great value for money in Maun.
The reception staff were efficient on check-in, the rooms are large and fairly well equipped for self catering. Nice little kitchen with granite tops, small fridge and microwave, all the essentials. The beds are comfortable with crisp, clean linen.
The flat screen TV is great, even with a sofa to relax on whilst watching, with a good selection of movie channels, although limited news channels. The wifi worked well and is free in all rooms.
The bathroom is good with a shower in the bath but the bath is big so it is a good solution to make the most of the space to give guests the option of either showering or bathing. The large size of the bath is a good indication that the owners didn't skimp when building the place and just try to give basics.
The only real criticism is that at night the security lights are very bright outside and the curtains very thin so it is very bright inside the room at night. Also I was staying in winter when the sun comes up late but with the thin curtains it will get very bright, very early in summer.
Also travelers should be aware that it is not walking distance to any shops or restaurants, not a problem if you have a car or don't mind getting a taxi.
All in all though, for the price, Queness Inn offers excellent value for money! Well built, well maintained, clean, comfortable and great value. Definitely recommended!

This place is like a heavenly oasis. The staff are friendly and super accommodating... I stayed here for a month on business and could not have been happier. The tubs and showers are beautiful! I had to check out for a couple days due to lack of availability, and stayed at the Maun Lodge, which was a total dump. Go Queness!!

+1
We found this Inn to be very practical for our purposes. I summarize the pros & cons of our one night stay:
Pros:
Room was spacious, clean and had all the amenities for self-catering. Bed was comfortable and the fridge, microwave, TV, stove etc. all were in good working condition.
There was constant hot water
Wi-Fi was free and very reliable.
Hotel grounds were well kept and nice to look at. One could take a walk to the river and beyond. The area was safe.
Parking and housing were well secured and there was a 24-hour guard on the premises.
People at the front desk were very cordial and efficient.
Cons:
The air-condition in the room was not up to par with the quality of the room. It was not functioning well and the heat was offensive. We were going to find a fan at the reception, but no one was there late in the evening. This actually was one big disadvantage of the place. We hope that the owners will look into this.

Queness is a well appointed self-catering establishment and spotlessly clean. It does what it says on the tin - and the price is very reasonable. Great for a stop over in Maun or to use as a base for exploring the area

We stayed 2 nights here and found it to be very good value.
The room was clean and tidy, the bed large and comfortable, the shower hot, tv has good range of channels, no noise, free wifi worked well. No complaints at all.
They also supply you with bottled water - a good bonus.
The power went out twice in our stay due to storms. Took about 45mins to restore it. One of the times it was around 11pm, and the hotel manager and security guard came around offering battery powered lamps.
The kitchenette has everything you need. Though the reception also has a few menus of take away or restaurants.
Your car will be safe here as well, they have gates and a 24hr security guard keeping check on things.
Location is a 5 min drive from the centre of Maun.
Would stay here again without hesitation.

A neat and compact up market self catering outfit that is very comfortable and conveniently located. Everything was working fine - aircon, wifi, tv channels and the small kitchenette. Nice and comfortable bed for a good night's sleep. And quite secure too! I recommend it to anyone requiring self catering facility whilst in Maun.

Queness Inn is about 12-18 months old offering very spacious and comfortable accommodation 5 to 6 kilometres out of town. The modern facilities include free Wi-Fi, a fully equipped kitchen and full size bathroom. The initial impression of security bars on the sliding doors was a little disconcerting but having one's guests feel safe is obviously of paramount concern for the owners. At night the compound is secured by locked gates. The Inn, I think, is ideally situated if you have your own vehicle offering the peace and quiet being away from the city but also within easy access. The owner mentioned they were considering providing a shuttle bus which would certainly make this venue very attractive to visitors such as us. Although we stayed only one night before transferring to our safari the next day, I have no hesitation in recommending Queness as the place to stay in Maun.
