Good morning Anne

it is a pleasure to respond.
Our experience was very good. We had a lovely campsite and I think that a very good measure of any place is the maintenance and especially the ablution facilities.
These were immaculate.

Thank you again.

Johan

Really a fantastic place, could have stayed a bit longer.
Staff was fantastic at the office.
Our booking was for 25/09/2022, we got a emergency call from home when we were at Khwai camp on the 24/09/2022 and had to go home, we then took a chance and did the stopover on the 24/09/2022.
Thank you for the staff at the reception for accommodating us a day earlier and supplying the pre-cooked meals for us at that time, there was no time enough for us to reach the Martins drift border post. Thanks to all, will make use of Woodlands again when we visit Botswana again

The room and grounds are very well maintained, clean and neat.
Positioning excellent overlooking river (although it was dry when we were there) and even though it is called a "stopover" it is far enough away from the main road that no traffic noise is heard.
Very friendly, helpful and professional staff and deliver what is promised.

It is always lovely to stay here. This time we found that Ice and Wood were very highly priced so make sure you bring your own. Otherwise, no complaints. Sites are lovely and staff very friendly. Ablution facilities are also clean and lovely.

Good day abrahamscontact. Thank you so much for taking the time to rate and review us here at Woodlands Stop Over & Lodge. Very happy to hear that you found everything to your satisfaction except for the price of the wood and ice-- We support local suppliers who live off cutting and packing the wood as well as making the ice cubes. Their time transport and good presentation for re-sale is considered and valued as well as our own forward purchasing and storage. Please come back again and suppport us as well as the people selling the wood and ice. Look forward to your future visits! Kind regards, Mike & Anne West (Owners)

Lovely setting in the bush. The gardens have been beautifully maintained. We were grateful for the tea / coffee / biscuits that we were able to enjoy on arrival. Our ordered meals were home cooked and met our need after a long day of travel. The chalets were comfortable and the showers hot... could not have asked for anything more.

After a long day we arrived at Woodlands Stop Over and were welcomed at reception. There was quite a large group of Italian tourists booking in and the friendly Lady at reception recommended that we proceed to our campsite and return for the booking in process, that helped as we didn't have to set up in the dark. We got some good firewood, had a braai and a few beers, and had a great evening eventhough it was a bit chilly. Good, clean ablutions in the morning and off we went!

Hello 94kurt, Thank you so much for your high rating of us here at Woodlands Stop Over & Lodge. The lovely compliment about the warm, helpful welcome from the reception staff also pleases us! Delighted to hear that you were not held up with the busyness of that day and that you were able to set up well in advance of nightfall. Yes the winter here at Woodlands is very cold as we are very close to the dry riverbed. Trusting that the rest of your trip through Botswana was a happy and memorable one and that you will be back again very soon? Kind regards, Mike & Anne West (Owners)

Our family had a lovely stay at Woodlands. The staff was friendly and the chalet was well equipped and cozy with warm water bottles provided for the cold night. We saw the resident Verreaux eagle owl on and early morning walk in the dry river bed.

7 km off the tar road along a rather corrugated gravel road, is so well worth it, to experience the tranquility of Woodlands We pre-ordered frozen meals ( a la Woolies) yet there were alternatives at Reception. Be aware that Garmin Street Maps routes you incorrectly, so best to follow the signs. The directions on their website presume you are travelling north from Francistown, but you can work it out! A delightful overnight stop-over, we highly recommend

Good day RobertWB, Thank you so much for taking the time to rate us so highly and to review us equally highly. We are so happy to hear that the detour on the corrugated road was so worth while. We have just had the road graded, which usually happens twice a year and just after the first rains. We do not understand why the Garmin Street Maps as well as Google maps route travellers along the worst roads in our district. However, we are so glad that the road signs still have an important place in this day of HIGH TECH! Will also check the website ( thank you for drawing it to my attention) because it should give directions both from north and south. BUT so thrilled that you came, stayed and enjoyed! We trust that you enjoyed the rest of your trip through Botswana and that you will be back to visit our beautiful country again soon AND of course to stay with us too? Kind regards, Mike & Anne West (Owners)

Great, convenient and very comfortable place to overnight. Immaculately maintained and attractive grounds on the Tati river. Pre-cooked meals that are available to buy were really tasty. Lovely to hear the Night-Jars calling nearby. Well worth the visit.
