A great piece of quiet away from the hustle bustle Francistown. Tented rooms are adequate, service is helpful and friendly, and good food at the restaurant. Not fancy in any way, but what we we looking for.

Dumela lodge is a good value for money. Rooms are clean and it was the first time we got DSTV in a tented accommodation :-). As they don't have any family room, they put 2 mattresses on the floor for our 4 and 7 years old children which made the room very small and did not leave any space to open our luggage. However it was our choice and we could have taken 2 rooms. Personnel is very friendly, food is ok. Bring your own wine as they don't sell wine by the bottle. Only negative point is the pool which was really dirty the two times we went there. Also don't dream about laying down by the pool as there is no long chair...

Security at night has been reinforced since problem in August 2012. Note that the lodge is out of the city center

Staff wonderful and friendly, chef an absolute delight that takes such pride in her meals. Accommodation was comfortable and the hot water was a treat (not easily encountered in Botswana!) The tented room lacked attention to detail - simple things like having to go outside the tent to close the windows in the bathroom area - plug points that didn't fit, DSTV and t.v didn't work, no chairs to relax on on the balcony......

My uncle and myself took my gran up to Bulawayo recently and needed a place to sleep for the night. We arrived in the dark with nothing booked so were nervous it would be fully booked. She is 85 years old and needed both of us in the room to feel safe. Dumela Lodge accommodated this for us with no issue what so ever. It takes us quite a while to get out in the mornings and they were nothing but nice to us when we asked for another 30 minutes to help my gran sort everything out. Everything was spotless and the pool was divine to swim in. Would recommend 100 times over.

My parents went on a trip to Botswana and Namibia and stayed at Dumela Lodge. They were attacked by 3 men that cut open their tents. Be very careful when travelling close to the Zimbabwian border. Please make sure that the places you stay at have a lot of guests. I am sorry for the owners of Dumela Lodge but the next visitor might not be as lucky as they were. The police in Botswana are top class and did everything in their power to catch the perpetrators.

My wife and i stayed there for 4 days. The service was oustanding. The staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. They were genuinely pleasant and happy to assist us in whatever way they could.

The stay was well worth the money. They get a double thumbs up from me.

We were made to feel so at home as we spent the night on our way back from Johannesburg. The rooms are unique and very clean. All the staff we encountered were super attentive and pre empted our every need. The dinner was delicious and breakfast was extremely generous. I highly recommend a stay here.

Not the best Lodge we have seen in Botswana. Only good enough for an very average sleep over. The food was so-so, the service was not to bad, boxed wine for dinner, the rooms had two basins of which one works. We did sleep warm in the tented rooms, and the bedding was clean.

Decided to stay out of town and chose Dumela for a 2 night stay - before I head onto Zim. Despite the lodge being very quite, the staff were excellent and went out of their way on numerous occasions throughout my stay. Lovely facilities and a beautiful main building - campsite very spacious, food was divine (I recommend the Chobe Bream) and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. If you don't mind staying out of town (10km), stay here - very peaceful

As a family of 4 we had two tents which were fine. there are no showers - baths only. There was no resturant on site. Free wifi available in the lodge although it took some time to get it working and it was very slow
