Decent accommodation as long as you stay away from the restaurant. You are better off eating out. At the time of writing best you could get for accommodation in a similar price range. Load shedding will affect you somewhat particularly if it happens during the day as the generator is only switched on at 18:00 hrs

Business trip to Solwezi. I stayed at the Crossroads Lodge. The accommodation was ok, breakfast was below average. Wifi did not work. Overall, an average experience. Only stay here if there are no other place available.

This hotel was a lifesaver after staying in Kaoma for a week. However, it's not great either. The room seemed clean. The bathroom was spacious. However, the shower head was so covered in grime that the water barely trickled out. The power went out a lot. The generator would kick in but then the air didn't work. The TV did not have many channels. Plus, for two days I had a message that I didn't pay my bill, so I couldn't see the screen. The food was terrible. The pool is OK but rather dirty. The bar was my favorite part of the hotel. The bartenders were very kind. I can't say the same for the front desk employees. They gave us attitude when it came to paying for things, the credit card machine not working, and the receipts we needed to prove our stay. Bring cash as a back-up or give yourself a few days to try to pay with credit card as the machine seemed to be down a lot. If you do stay here, it's a 20 minute walk to another hotel that has much better food.

Everything is Average from the food, the rooms are nothing to write home about. The facilities are a bit outdated and not well kept. Worst of all was the customer service. Which was pathetic to say the least

Unfortunately me and my colleagues were refused access to the hotel as I am being accompanied by an assistance (guide dog). From a tourist destination destination and a country that gehad ratified the convention on the rights for persons with disabilities I would have expected a better understanding

I was pleasantly surprised with Crossroads Solwezi. With a delux room costing about $50 (November, 2018), it is great value for money! Situated in a nice spot with impala and zebra, the environment is peaceful and as some other reviewers have said, feels more like a hotel than a lodge.

The rooms were quite nice, well kept and maintained (it is fairly new so the true test will be after a few years) and the staff were pleasant. The food is good, with large portions but be prepared to wait! Had to wait close to an hour on average, even breakfast sometimes so don't ever try to get food when you are starving! Also the dining room is a bit of a let down - really no effort there with the decor at all.

Despite the less than appealing dining room, and the long food wait, I will certainly stay at Crossroads next time I'm in Solwezi. The value for money is way too good!

New constructed lodge, with excellent ceramic flooring throughout; and cleverly incorporated ramps. rooms are fairly well designed though none really offer any view of the surrounding landscape. Zebra are found within the grounds making for a pleasant change. Staff were generally courteous though dining service was somewhat disappointing. Overall, fairly good value for money compared to other options in Solwezi

I have stayed at a few lodges around Zambia and this one surprised me.
This isn’t your normal lodge this is more like a hotel.
The staff is nice but the service can be very slow, specially at the restaurant.
The food is not great but not bad.
But I had to wait 45 min for a plate of fries at one time.

Compared to the other available Hotels in Solwezi - one of the better ones.
I stay there regularly and experience friendly service from all staff.
Acceptable rates and the rooms are clean.
Aircon, DsTV with a limited number of channels, WiFi.
Food not good though and the biggest drawback of the Hotel.
Takes forever to receive your order.
Options on the menu is limited and not always available.
Patrons are very noisy and loud especially over weekends.

Spend 3 nights there over the course of 5 weeks. The lodge looks good on the outside but is far from great once you are inside.
Staff can uncommunicative, the food ranges from ok-ish to awful, the shower head looks like it wants to come off (same with the towel rack) and the backup generator barely kicks in. We had better internet in the bush via satellite. On top of that, my "deluxe" suite had the worst and hardest bed I have ever experienced. Furthermore, the corridors are extremely noisy.
On the plus side, there is a bar and the rooms are clean. Tee is provided (the coffee is made from chicory...).
