Detailed Reviews
Book your visit now- you honestly won’t regret it. I wasn’t sure what to expect as our travel agent had booked this accommodation but it was AMAZING. They offer what is truly a boutique experience. You don’t need to “call reception.” You walk outside to the fire or the dining area and can ask Max or DT or Virginiah.
We had between 4-8 guests total there while we were visiting and it made it so much more intimate. We knew everyone but all had our own tables at dinner. And the food is frankly exceptional. Very flavorful with local flavors that also feel familiar. Dinner every night is three courses and there is always fresh made bread.
The upkeep of the rooms was also great. It wasn’t just doing a light upkeep. They would organize our shoes together and there was the early daily cleaning along with the turndown service during evening.
Basically this is marketed as a “budget accommodation” but the service is anything but. We were actually sad to leave as we knew everyone. If you can request someone to assist you with game drives, I would highly recommend Jeremy as well. Finally I know some reviews from years ago mentioned there being no WiFi but I’m happy to report there is WiFi now. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did!

We searched for a long time to find an affordable option to stay in the Moremi/Kwai area. All the lodges were very high priced for a family of four.
Then I stumbled upon the Khwai Guest House, which seemed to be a good alternative option.
It turned out to be a very good choice! It is called a guest house, and the rates are according, but the service, activities and staff are exactly like in the big lodges.
The 2 managers Virginiah and Max were very welcoming. They sit with you around the fire in the morning and evening and always ask how your day was, without being intrusive. The trip was to celebrate 5 years of marriage and they surprised us with a bottle of champagne and a personal note!
The rooms were very neat and the housekeeping lady was amazing. She was very helpfull, decorated our beds like little works of art and became friends with my two boys who loved to chat with her. As we had a family room we had two neighbouring rooms with a whole tented sitting area in between. Nicely decorated and with a sofa. Very practical that we could go to the boys room without having to step outside.
The activities were great. We did a night Safari and morning Safari with Jeremy. He knows all about the animals. We saw a group of hyenas, a bush baby, a leopard and many more. But you can also just do a selfdrive in the Khwai concession or Moremi if you prefer that.
The food was buffet style. It was rather simple, maybe the only difference with a lodge, but very tastefull and each night there was a different chef. The staff gave us a diner and a show as they came to sing and dance for us before dinner. Everyone loved it.
There is a very nice sitting area with a bar.
If you are still doubting if this is a good choice. Don’t! you will love it
And we never had a better price / quality rate than here

Three nights in the camp, could have done more. Facilaties are great, the camp is well run and clean, evening meal is a great fun, talking to people , chating round the fire. well sighted for the local consesion and national park, we prefered the local consesion. Go upto the local hipo pool in the evening as the sun goes down, five minutes up the road, all the hipos come home, eat your snacks and drink a beer.

We just spent three nights at the Kwai Guest House and really enjoyed it - from our comfortable cottage to the wonderful staff and great meals (including before-dawn breakfasts around the fireplace) and fantastic game drives with very knowledgeable and professional guides. The animals are right around you - we had an elephant visiting our cottage one night and rubbing up against our front door. The next morning we discovered that the little tree next to our front porch wasn't there any more (eaten).

The place is nice located and I went with Shadow a good guide out to the parks.
The food is good, tasty and enough.
But the houses you stay in are not teally good constructed, because the houses are heating up, soooo much, that you end up at night in a sauna.
The heat is not coming down and there is not much circulation in the room.
Thats the main reason for the low review!
They should change it, because it is NOT ENJOYABLE AT ALL!

We had a fanastic stay at KGH. The rooms are very comfortable. The breakfast by the camp fire was fun although you needed a head torch to see what you were eating! Chatting around the camp fire in the evening was great. The staff were friendly and food was delicious. The game drives were amazing, we managed to see a leopard which was so exciting! The mokoro safari was both relaxing and thrilling. There's so much to do from this camp. Loved it!

The KGH is located close to the Moremi north gate, but also close to the Khwai concession, borg of which have great Wildlife and nature. Inside the camp the accomodations are spacious and very comfortable. However, the best feature are the staff who are friendly, helpful an knowledgeable (Max is a great guide)! A big recommendation!

We arrived here by accident. We got stuck in the Moremi and the guys from Khwai guest house came to rescue us. Again thousand time thanks for that!
What a surprise to stay here! Very beautiful rooms and lovely cosy main area. The staff was very friendly and the food very good!
Sitting together with staff and other guests around the fire was a moment to remember.
The price very ok when I compare with other places we stayed.
We did a mokoro trip.....very nice.
I really recommend this place!

A good place to stay and our excellent guide Pako made the trip even better. However, the bar ran out of beer and one night there was a shortage of food which is unacceptable. But overall the food was excellent and the rooms were kept tidy so to conclude a recommendable place.
