Very stressful experience- we had just drinks! So happy, we changed mind earlier and had food somewhere else! Their covid facts are very dated.... the staff was stressful with just 2 running around guys in circles with one way system, glasses everywhere...

Managed to upgrade (for only an extra £10) to a king sized loch view room (room 14). Would really recommend this as these are huge rooms, on the top floor, are a lot quieter (the pub can be quite noisy as expected) and have an amazing view of the harbour. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Very central and would recommend dinner at the Ceilidh Place. Would stay again.

Good booking process very helpful. Then we got there!! Understaffed & the staff they had were frazzled. Room was battered, dark & depressing, bedding was tattered in places, shower was a pathetic flow either scalding or freezing ( quite dangerous for children). Wished we hadn’t booked a meal which they hadn’t written down anyway. Very basic menu & the food when we eventually managed to order after sitting for ages was in my opinion all out of the freezer & cheap. Noise from the outside area at the back after hours was pretty loud. Breakfast for £10 extra was passable but nothing to rave about. We won’t be revisiting ever!!

Good bit: Its better than sleeping in a shop door way Bad bits: Its a pub - boozer with drinkers and funny fag smokers on the payment beneath the rooms, which were sad and tatty. Dusty surfaces hairs in the shower and TV smaller than a Tesla dash monitor. It has the few of a place neglected for many many years by large brewery or company who rely on Ullapool being so popular they just don't need to update and clean the hotel / pub properly. The staff were great though, very helpful and you can see they are working hard. However the place is to be avoided if at all possible. Don't make a decision on the photos you WILL be disappointed and upset at paying over £130 !

Apart from views which were lovely there is nothing positive I can say about this hotel. It’s dark and dingy and noise out front on both nights after midnight was horrendous. There are far better and cheaper in Ullapool- definitely not worth £130 per night (which didn’t include breakfast). Cant comment on food or drink as based on appearance didn’t want to chance it!
