We have been staying at this hotel for 8 years and got married there on the beach. The staff made our visits so enjoyable. They are very helpful and pleasant people. The breakfast is excellent, and free! The pool is great with a waterfall. Definitely going back. We were there from Dec. 2020 until late February, 2021. Very Covid aware with wash station with soap and masks required.

This time at Diuwak has been beyond terrible. The water has been off over half of the time. What’s worse is the front desk has been coached in how to lie to the patrons. I have been here four days and have been given one lame excuse after another as to why the water doesn’t work. Today the office clerk said “No really it’s the kitchen let me show you”. As if that mattered for all the other times. The place is not what was. In my opinion they don’t give a damn about their service but will still charge top dollar for crappy accommodations. Look elsewhere. This place is doomed.

This is our 5 stay at the Diuwak. It’s always consistent, ok rooms, typical worn beds, tiny parking spaces and if the places is full creative parking. The grounds and pool are beautiful but, at times a hint of sewer gas as the sewers are not open but grated and all the units flow to common sewers. This is worse in dry season as not as much water is flowing through. Breakfast is nice with a typical fare of beans, rice, eggs, and fruit. I will return as overall I like the Hotel and it’s staff it is a very safe and secure location close to the beach and town.

I stayed there for some nights and I enjoyed because it was very close to beach. The breakfast was less good but anyway the pool compensated that. The staff is also very useful. Many places to eat close to the hotel. There is also a bus stop around the corner.

It was our first visit to Dominical and we were expecting something really special. Our travel agency had set us up for one night in Dominical and they had chosen the Diuwak hotel. We came from Casa Corcovado - a fantastic place! Already in the reception we felt something was wrong. The receptionist was almost ignoring us thus there were no one else and restiant to provide the expected service. After handing over the keys he restiantly took us to the room and very quickly introduced us to the aircon and then he left without further information. Not feeling very secure we decided to bring all of value with us - we went to town. It was difficult to lock the door hence it was checked carefully. 2-3 hours later we returned to most surprisingly an unlocked door! In the room we realized that someone had opened our backpacks. Feeling very unsecure we decided to find another hotel. We can under no circumstancies recommend this hotel!
