Very comfortable bedding. Amazing shower. AC worked well. Strong WIFI. Very quiet and peaceful. This is not a place to go if you want to be pampered, but it is perfect if you want a reasonably priced room in Sedona. It's only three miles up the beautiful drive on highway 89A, so you are close to Sedona but far enough away that you can have quiet and enjoy the sights of the red rocks AND have constant creek access. There are hammocks, couches, and chairs near and on the creek, and it is a perfect place to spend the day. We used the fridge and microwave to save money as eating in Sedona is very expensive. We stayed in room 22, one of the family rooms, and would happily return.
Would not recommend this place to anyone, especially Senior Citizens! Our room was ready when we arrived but the cigarette butts in the ashtray told me someone was not finished. The room was extremely small, had to walk up two steps to get to the bathroom (a real treat at night in the dark) and large part of the room was taken up by a Jacuzzi which should have been outside on the patio with the TV and fireplace. Parking was another story all of its own, three rooms shared parking in an area just large enough for two cars maybe. Have stayed at Motel 6's that were at least two levels better for one-third the price.
Thumbs up: Concept good Patio wonderful Easy walk to stream Ice machine worked! Thumbs down: A/C not working Room darkening impossible Jacuzzi tub leaked, could not get filled before hot water died Bathroom too tiny No light above kitchen sink Room 11 right next to driveway Had to drive to every restaurant - only DQ nearby Luggage - multiple trips up stairs
So many amenities for a local cabin type lodging. Reasonable rates for the area, close to everything. Every room has fireplace with logs provided, a shower, a comfortable clean bed, private patios with table/chairs and gas bbq. BBQ easy to use. Be sure bring your groceries from in Town before you check in if staying for more than one nite. DQ across street for ice cream daily. The Hotel Manager family was SO nice. Starbucks Keurig coffee in lobby and also individual coffee pots in rooms. Property AWESOME, lots of communal area with lounges, hammocks, benches, games, all right on the creek. SO AWESOME!!!
I see a few recent negative reviews and I think they seem to be mostly for the less expensive, smaller motel type rooms. However, my friend and I stayed in a “Bungalow”, as that is simply what became available for our dates. It was gorgeous. A small private front yard, complete with a fountain, sitting area and BBQ grill greeted us as we opened the ‘magical’ blue door. The room itself was very large, consisting of a king sized bed, bedroom sitting area, fireplace dividing the bedroom area from the jacuzzi and kitchenette eating area. Kitchenette was fully stocked with microwave, small fridge, coffee set up, utensils, and dishes. The whole space was meticulously appointed with beautiful and updated furnishings and details. Outside, the terraces leading down to the creek were well maintained and comfortably furnished with sofas, chairs, hammocks and fire pits. Hammocks and Adirondack chars dotted the creek. Our only regret is that we had to leave. What a lovely and magical place!…
