Under construction.. in the past I really enjoyed staying at the hotel now you cannot get a receptionist on the phone it’s a third-party group that answers the phone in a foreign country ..not accommodating as well as no one mention the fact that the hotel is under construction there’s no spa service and the restaurant is in a banquet room.. they don’t tell you these things before you come it was a super pleasant experience before the hotel was sold..
nice beautiful property but felt property should not be available to guests or should have provided more info on their website on how loud and the expected times of the renovation construction noise going on.
We picked this resort based on photos and reviews, so I feel obligated to let other researchers know that, as of early June 2021, this resort is fully under construction. The courtyards are full of construction debris/equipment, the spa was closed and boarded up with plywood, the restaurant was moved to a makeshift location in an upstairs ballroom/conference hall, and the lobby was moved to a makeshift location in a stairwell. All in all a very unimpressive situation. The staff was pleasant and the recently renovated rooms were very nice, but that's where the niceties end. I'm sure the resort will be lovely once the construction is completed, but we definitely would NOT have chosen to stay here had we known the situation. And, as most resorts do, we were charged a "resort fee"…
This hotel is in a great location; close to super markets, restaurants, Starbucks, shopping, everything. My room was very spacious (didn't provide pictures because my king room looked exactly like the pictures available on their website), had a porch area and an outstanding bathroom with a regular and rain shower. Now why it lost one star; the garden was under construction so the value in getting the room that I purchased (i.e. over looking the garden), was not there. Additionally, the spa/gym were under construction so was unable to take advantage of those common areas. With that being said, I had to pay premium prices for amenities, spa and otherwise, that were not available.
Stayed at Sedona Rouge for 2 nights on memorial day weekend. The location is perfect. Just 5 mins drive from the uptown Sedona hustle and bustle. Excellent staff. They always had the refrigerator full with much needed cold water. Nice rooftop view with sofas/chairs for evening relaxation. Close to Airport loop hike (best for Sunset) and community park for nice sunset. Pink Jeep tours was close as well. One part of the hotel is being renovated.
