This hotel is in a great location; close to super markets, restaurants, Starbucks, shopping, everything. My room was very spacious (didn't provide pictures because my king room looked exactly like the pictures available on their website), had a porch area and an outstanding bathroom with a regular and rain shower. Now why it lost one star; the garden was under construction so the value in getting the room that I purchased (i.e. over looking the garden), was not there. Additionally, the spa/gym were under construction so was unable to take advantage of those common areas. With that being said, I had to pay premium prices for amenities, spa and otherwise, that were not available.

Stayed at Sedona Rouge for 2 nights on memorial day weekend. The location is perfect. Just 5 mins drive from the uptown Sedona hustle and bustle. Excellent staff. They always had the refrigerator full with much needed cold water. Nice rooftop view with sofas/chairs for evening relaxation. Close to Airport loop hike (best for Sunset) and community park for nice sunset. Pink Jeep tours was close as well. One part of the hotel is being renovated.

Yikes, I wish I had gone to TripAdvisor before booking this hotel. 1. Parts of the hotel are under renovation, so I knew that coming in. What I didn't know was that the construction area was in front of our room. 2. What is the resort fee for? The gym is closed, it's not like we get the newspaper delivered to our room, no free breakfast, nobody uses the room phone for long-distance calls, construction was everywhere, and this is not a resort. Free parking? Come on, Days Inn provides free parking too. 3. Check-out at 11am, while everyone else has check-out at noon. When I asked for a late check-out, the front desk cut me off by saying 'this hotel does not do late check-out'. When I asked for exception, he curtly said, "Check-out time is 11am". 4. Breakfast is EXPENSIVE. Eat

Be aware that there is extensive renovation ongoing at this hotel. The jackhammers start at 9 am. This was not the environment we wanted to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The front desk staff disclosed the construction but we were locked in with a nonrefundable reservation. Otherwise we would have left.

We stayed 5 nights at the Sedona Rouge as a wedding party. I found out about the construction well after booking. I could never get a straight answer as to how extensive this would be. We ended up in rooms sufficiently far from the construction as to be tolerable but only after a few trips to the front desk to change room assignments. There was only one overwhelmed person attending the desk and so there was always a line of people checking in / out or to ask questions. A few times there were irate patrons because of the major construction (Jack hammering) that just wanted out. There was barely any service and so garbage piled up. The dining was in a ballroom and I thought that it was decent. The pool was fine as was the rooftop patio. Some of the front desk staff were just
