Arrived at 2pm on a Sunday to check in. I was told the people in my room requested to stay longer, So my room type was not available. I am with my wife and son (age 17) and they offered a king size bed. I told them I reserved a King Suite with queen sofa bed. They said room types are not guaranteed when booked. WHAT???? What is the point of booking a room type then? As a LONG time Marriott Rewards member (formerly Platinum) I have never heard this. why don't we move the people who extended their stay to another room? Stupid. So, I am driving 7 hours back to San Diego with no stop in Sedona as planned. My son is going to NAU and I will be back in Sedona a lot over next 4 years. Just never to this place. Beautiful Hilton up the road. And they will hold your room type!!! I

We did pull your reservation and see that you booked through the Marriott channel and as a long time Marriott member, which we greatly appreciate, you are guaranteed those room types and I am so sorry that you were told otherwise and were not allowed to check in. It is always our goal to not only meet, but exceed our guests expectations while in our care and it seems as though we missed the mark with your reservation. I cannot apologize enough and can't imagine how frustrating that experience was. As a Bonvoy platnium elite member, we booked 4 nights at Element Sedona and we were excited to visit the property. Three days passed our stay, the room was not serviced and cleaned. We then found out because of COVID, they decide not to clean any guests room while we're staying. However, upon booking and checking in, we were never disclosed. The least that they could have done (if they don't tell us in person) would be placing a piece of paper in the room. Instead, the paper that we got was "we're happy to refresh your sheets and towels." Being a clean person, I would expect the room to be serviced daily. In the absence of cleaning, they could have told us in advance or provide disinfectant spray bottles or wipes in the room. So we have no access to cleaning agent (they did not

We had a great stay at the Element in Sedona. The room was beautifully appointed and spotless. We also had a gorgeous view off of the balcony. This was the first weekend away post COVID-19 stay at home lift so there were social distancing measures in effect but it was to be expected. The staff was courteous and accommodating whenever possible. I would definitely stay again. Thank you Jared Folsom for reaching out after our stay to confirm that we had a great experience.

Highly recommended!!! This was a great hotel to stay at in Sedona. Close enough to everything, the rooms are clean, modern, and efficient with everything. I really enjoyed my stay and will be staying here for any future visits.

Our family was road tripping through Arizona for spring break and decided to stay here for our stop in Sedona. During our stay, we checked in in the afternoon with Patricia at the front desk. She was very courteous and full of tips for the area. She even provided us with a coupon for dinner and made sure to let us know they would be making cookies. The next day, we came down for breakfast near the end and there was a long line for the cooked breakfast. Jared, the manager, made sure everyone in line before the end of breakfast was served, and Gaby and Cindy stayed longer to make the food and were very friendly and courteous. Our housekeeper, Sandy, was super friendly as well. She was full of all sorts of tips on the places we should visit and where we could find good food.
