Ok so this is my best hotel stay so far! I visit Phoenix frequently for business and hotel hop to keep it fun. So far, I can’t believe I don’t discover this hotel sooner. The mini kitchen and living room area just made me feel like I was in an apartment and not a hotel. Walmart is down the street and I was able to grab some groceries. Full size fridge, dishes, ice maker and coffee pot.. totally score!!! The bed may be a bit too hard for my liking but the property is beautiful and I’m only hoping I get out of the office early enough to enjoy everything tomorrow. I will only be booking this place moving forward and excited to have found my home away from home in Phoenix after 2 years of traveling here 😃
The staff here is really helpful, nice and accommodating (Tyler and Tahirih to name two). But the experience one has goes well beyond the staff, their greeting of guests and make special requests come to life. The hotel is only a few years old and its looking worn. My room, particularly the bathroom, was not clean (mold on grout in showers, hair on floor, dirty trim). Also, there was a burned out lightbulb and other minor hardware issues. My room was generally quiet, but on my last evening I could hear music being played by the guest in the room next to mine. My primary reason for selecting this property is because it's new, but I feel like the Holiday Inn Express in Old Town provides a cleaner room, even better service and a very central location. I scratch my head if it's worth driving several miles into near dessert for a newish property where each room has a really nice full kitchen, but just doesn't seem to all it could be.…
I cannot say enough about how pleasant the staff is. They made accommodations for our stay to be exactly what we needed. The breakfast staff were at the top of their game. The rooms were excellent and so very clean. The grounds were well appointed and maintained.
Everyone is very friendly and helpful, the room is great, the location convenient. I had trouble with my Bonvoy account, and Tahirih spend what seemed like hours on a help line trying to sort it out and would not give up until my problem was solved! I have never experienced such great service.
I stayed at this extended stay for the entirety of a 3 month contract in Phoenix. This was such a delightful and comfortable place to reside while 19 hours away from home. This location was perfect; in a quite location but just minutes from restaurants and shopping. The staff was so pleasant and helpful! My room was clean and the house keepers were so nice and accommodating to my needs. I worked night shift at Banner University and getting off work to the hotel breakfast was such a great plus. Dorinda was the sweetest lady ever! Her and Susan, and another man who I cannot remember his name, made breakfast time such a peaceful moment in the middle of working COVID ICU. The kitchen staff were so friendly and always checking on me. It's been 6 months since I've left but I still think of this place often. I highly, highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a safe, elegant yet affordable hotel. Also, the restaurant food was delicious!!…
Amazing staff, well maintained and great management. This property is an example of Marriott at it's best. Anchilla helped us over the phone reserve rooms that met our special needs. (ADA) Brooke was helpful at check-in. (We had moved from a MVC location that was terrible.) The property manager wrote a welcome flyer with useful information left in our rooms. The rooms were exactly what we needed. Everyone we had contact with was courteous and friendly. Specifically, Gretchen at the Agave bar. (After our first night she remembered our names and drink preference. Like our very own Cheers.) Tyler sent us an email inviting us to an Elite event. Schedules didn't allow us to attend but the gesture was appreciated. Like some RI locations, pets are welcome. Pool is shared with the Courtyard next store. Breakfast area was clean, nice job by Tom. Not as much variety in the food offerings, but this is in comparison to Marriott properties pre-pandemic. Excellent stay, highly recommend this property.…
My wife and I stayed here for a brief vacation. Everything was wonderful. The staff are friendly and helpful. The staff who work the morning shift in the breakfast room are cordial and bring a cheery start to the day. The breakfast had good variety each day. There is ample free parking. Good access to highway 101 without hearing traffic noise. The outdoor pool is in a courtyard area between this hotel and the Courtyard Hotel, but it was never crowded (we had no problem swimming lengths). We had a studio unit which was perfect for us as it has a kitchen and we made dinner on two nights. I highly recommend this property.
This hotel is a 10 out of 10 in every way. Services, maintenance, hospitality…just everything. At the front desk the shoutout goes to Tyler, Taylor, Norbert, Norbert, Tanirin, Brooke Bd Julianne, in the kitchen it’s Tom and Susan and last but not least two of my favorite people managing the bar are Tara and Gretchen.
New, well located(central) to all of the Phx area. Quiet, even though near the 101. We have a dog and greatly appreciate the large, real grass areas. In the Southwest, many are going to the fake grass. Breakfast was excellent. I would stay here again, even without the dog!
With my twice a month travel to the Phoenix area, this was the first hotel I booked. And from day 1, I have always felt very special. From the desk staff, to the restaurant staff, right down to Chase and the maintenance staff, I always feel like one of the family. Sadly, Chance has parted for a new position in Utah, but he always knew my name, always chatted. I will miss seeing him on my trips. I will also miss seeing Rebecca Grogitsky, the assistant general manager. She too has parted for new opportunity. She ALWAYS was able to get me in for my stays. Thank you to everyone who makes it so enjoyable to come to the Residence Inn Salt River.
