I visiting Phoenix with a girlfriend in April of 2022. The hotel was chosen as it was close to the airport with shuttle as I was going to be travelling to Denver over our three day stay. The shuttle was excellent and so easy to use. Check in was a breeze and the staff was so friendly. Rooms were basic but clean and the beds SO comfortable. The real star of this property is the private courtyard. The grounds are beautiful and it is completely enclosed. Lots of space to sit and have a drink or play a game in the evening. Would definitely stay here again!
I stayed 03/21/22 I went to check in on a company trip the company card had to be email verified so they sent an email. There was no response for about15 minutes so I asked them to call the office they left a message and the office called back about 10 minutes the elderly gentleman was helping another customer so took the contact info to return the call. All good so far no issues I understand. But then he helped every other customer that walked through the door, never attempted to turn it over to another associate and left me sitting there for 1 hour 20 minutes before making the call. That was very poor customer service!!! I requested a non smoking room witch I received but the residual smoke from the past was very potent. On top of that the company is a semi regular customer for several years and I will request a change to that!!!…
Wow! If you want over the top customer service Sarah and her staff at the Holiday Inn are it! From the moment we arrived she was friendly, attentive, and most importantly understanding. She truly went out of her way to help our stay here well worth mentioning and visiting again! Thank you Sarah you rock!
Sarah listened to my horrible experience on the way out to Phoenix from Los Angeles and she came to my family’s rescue and saved the entire trip from being ruined! Her attention to detail and positive demeanor totally took me by surprise. She was sympathetic and beyond helpful in getting my family a room and checking us in! Kudos to Sarah and the friendly staff at this location! Thank you again Sarah!
The place is resort-like and very relaxing. Be aware that they have an arcane policy that provides you a check-in time and they will give away your (in my case prepaid) reservation if you do not inform them of 'late arrival'. Just pray you are not stuck on a flight somewhere.
Beautiful grounds trees waterfall lots of places to sit outside , even an area with a fire pit really spacious and clean room The staff all friendly . They had a little store down by the check-in desk with food you could cook in the microwave drinks beer snacks are very convenient my only complaint I was right on the main highway cars were super noisy !!!
Hotel appeared new and room was clean. Beds excellent. Srtaff were nice. Parking good. breakfast was good with nice selection. Its appeared to be safe in a good location. COVID PRECAUTIONS POOR. Most people not wearing masks but that is all over Arizona. We did find a peanut wrapper in the ice bucket which showed that was not checked. The room was otherwise clean.
American screwed up our flight out of Phoenix and told us we were on our own overnight. They gave us a Roomstorm card. We picked this hotel on Roomstorm because it had great reviews, nice amenities, and a great location. However, when we got there, Roomstorm never completed our booking and refused to help us out. Luckily Ariana and Alejandro (I hope I spelled their names correctly) had our backs. Not only were they incredibly friendly and professional, they were very patient as we tried to figure out what happened to our booking. After Roomstorm told us they couldn't find any record of our names or the number they emailed me, Ariana got us a room at a very fair rate and helped us set up a late checkout. I cannot stress just how much the hotel staff helped us out and made our night. We had a horrible day but it got so much better with hotel staff help. I went out of my way on the morning to compliment them, I called in, and I'm leaving this review so anyone else in my horrible situation knows there's a friendly place down the road.…
This hotel was probably nice at some point, but it seems to be rundown under current management. As a background, I am an IHG Spire + IC Ambassador, and at peak of my business travel (2018/2019) would spend up to 70 nights a year in hotels, roughly half of the time Holiday Inns (and HI Express). The first surprise comes upon arrival - I booked one of the suites, which the Web site says "are stocked with cookware, microwave/convection oven, full sized refrigerator and working desks". Upon arrival you find out there's no cookware, no convection oven, no refrigerator (on the bright side, there's working desk and microwave). Having booked (and overpaid) this specific setup for a family trip that required refrigeration and occasional access to cookware, this felt like bait-and-switch. The front desk offered to downgrade to a regular room while still charging the full suite rate. What an incredible deal, but I passed. The rooms were reasonably clean, but not exceptionally so, as you would be led to believe by "cleanliness guarantee". The guarantee did not cover previous guests' hair on the bathroom floors (the suites came with 2 bathrooms). The same cleanliness guarantee comes with the benefit of not having daily cleaning service. Do they tell you that when the hotel is booked? No. Do they disclose it at check-in? No. You only find out at the end of next day, when you call the front desk and are told that room cleaning must be requested. Considering ours was a longer stay, I requested it that evening, called back in the morning to confirm it would happen, only to come back to the room that's never been cleaned out. The floors, which hosted maybe 50 rooms + suites per floor, contained one regular size trash bin by the elevator. On a reasonably busy night, with guests ordering a bunch of takeout and what not, those were overflown with garbage invitingly spread out right by the elevator/stairs. But maybe that area was outside of the cleanliness guarantee. This is not a bad property, but it's neglected. All potential expenses (like daily cleaning) are being cut "due to COVID-19 precautions". All potential revenue generators (like coffee bar in the lobby) are being kept, because hey, COVID is almost over, right? Avoid if you can.…
Huge, clean room on a nice property with good amenities. Wonderful beds and sheets. Fire tables were on and inviting at night. Hot tub and pool were clean. I would have liked to have stayed longer. I read the negative reviews and was skeptical but so glad I booked. The location was fabulous. Close to Sky Harbor and Scottsdale hot spots.
