PROS: The staff was absolutely exceptional - can't say enough nice things about all of them. The grounds and building exterior are well maintained. Room was large and clean and it was great to have a kitchenette with mini-fridge and microwave. Would be a nice place for those traveling with kids. CONS: The rooms have a door between them so families could rent two rooms and have a passthrough. This door and the walls are paper thin so you can hear every sneeze, cough, and word of whomever is staying next door. NOTE: The shower tub in the studio room I had was a jacuzzi tub with a shower in it. This can be tricky for those with mobility challenges to navigate. Not sure if all rooms are like this but you should call if this is a concern.
Was looking forward to warm weather after subzero temps at home as well as a special trip to celebrate 5 year anniversary of being in BCancer remission. Some pros/some cons here at WGPMR. As a WG owner was a bit disappointed with the condition of the villa. Dated and in poor repair (tile, cabinets, paint, lack of enough cooking utensils). Bed and linens comfortable and clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Though was unaware until the walk about the property that the pool (our favorite amenity) was closed the entire time of the visit. There should definitely be an update. Of all the WG I've visited this unfortunately is at the bottom of the list. We did get gorgeous 🌞 weather!
We had 2 bedroom 2 bath unit- it was very spacious and had a nice kitchen area. The rooms are a little dated. The bath tub units are good size but one did not hold water so could not use hot tub. The bath tub units had a lot of mildew around it. The workout area was very average. The outside hot tub is good size and was nice. The pool was closed for resurfacing which was very disappointing. The resort staff was very friendly and helpful; especially giuerrmo.
Well maintained resort in Mesa, AZ, with large, heated pool and hot tubs, fitness center. Adjacent to beautiful golf course. Shopping and outdoor recreation close by. Breathtaking view of Red Mountain.
Good location, exterior of buildings and grounds well kept and staff were pleasant. Unfortunately, the floors of the unit were dirty and we were never able to get more than 3" of hot water in the tub, despite the staff checking the hot water tank. Small frig could not freeze ice and we had to walk the length of the complex to get ice.
Great place to stay and comfortable. Parking can be a issue but, doable. Clean unit and the pool is nice.Only small negative is housekeeping. You can get clean towels when you ask and clean linen but, you gotta make your own bed. Must be a Covid -19 rule.l
Security guard day & night. Convenient to highways so easy to explore places around the resort. Unit clean and grounds beautiful. Pool and hot tub very clean. We always felt safe and secure at this resort as they are following the Covid guidelines.
First time we have used this Westgate property and enjoyed our week here. Off season for golf, temps in the triple digits but we were more interested in the pool, not the golf course. Had friends fly in to stay with us, spacious two bedroom unit that was very quiet, clean and comfortable. Had upstairs unit with full balcony to ourselves, used shaded table and chairs for much enjoyed morning coffee. Fairly early risers, hit the spas and pool before rest of crowd, most times to ourselves. Clean towels and bedding provided anytime needed, covid procedures prevented house cleaning doing week which didn't bother us, we keep ourselves clean. Personal friendly and helpful, in fact maintenance person help us tote our stuff upstairs. Grounds are immaculate and pool tested every morning . Great week!…
We enjoyed our week here, spending time at the pool almost every day! The only reason we didn't give it an Excellent rating is the doors between adjoining rooms wasn't soundproof, so you could hear much of what happened in the other unit, especially in the kitchen. Fortunately, there were no infants or children, so the noise was minimal.
Our unit at Westgate Painted Mountain Resort was a two-bedroom, ground floor villa. The grounds of the resort are very nicely kept and had a variety of foliage. They were doing painting and other maintenance (up-keep) to one of the buildings next to us and on a few other units. The large pool area was nice with one of the two hot-tubs and ample room for lounge chairs. Next to the pool was a large, covered area for grilling and seating, a sand volleyball court and shuffleboard. We enjoyed the second hot tub area near the center of the resort (larger as well as quiet and relaxing). The workout room was small with three machines and some dead weights. Both bedrooms in our unit had king size beds that were very firm. Bathrooms were large and very well supplied with soap, paper products, towels, hair dryer and even shampoo/conditioner. Window coverings were insulated blackout curtains that kept the morning sun at bay as well as the heat of the day. Parking was ample enough. CON: the kitchen was only semi equipped with pots, pans, cutting knives, plates, drinking glasses, cups, and other utensils. Checking in was somewhat late due to the cleaning crew, so we went out for dinner and got back about 6 pm. The front desk was about to text us that the rooms were ready when we got back. The unit also did have a few spider webs in the bathroom, which was taken care of right a way by maintenance man. PRO: The resort does have a restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It can be found just west of the complex at the entrance for the adjacent golf course. The restaurant has daily specials such as Saturday steak night, Friday fish fry, BOGO breakfast, lunch and dinner discounts. The resort itself is located remarkably close to several restaurants, gas stations, and grocery stores (Safeway and Albertsons). The welcome packet we received at check-in included a list of nearby restaurants and attractions. Washer/dryer combos were in our main unit and in the 2nd bedroom/lockout unit. Each came equipped with a few packages of laundry soap. …
