Comfortable and neat room. Very close to shopping center. The atmosphere is also very relaxing. Situated in nature, mountains and gardens surrounding you. Beautiful , clean swimming pool. Just relax there or cool off in the water.

It’s a nice lodge hotel, good size rooms, nice pool, and sun area. Separate building from the casino, large car park, safe and secure. Was expecting a restaurant in the lodge but you have to go to the casino, which was a sport-type-gambling bar, no nice mountain views here
Short drive into Worcester gets you to a couple of restaurants, and a mall opposite has fast food. Was visiting for business, WiFi ok. Only disappointment was no nice restaurant but it was fine
Key card didn’t work the last night, it did take 4 attempts back and forward to room to fix it, they did in the end which was fine

Super friendly and welcoming staff, Im always greeted and helped when I need assistance. Amazing views and I just love how comfortable the beds are! Buffet breakfast could be improved upon though but all in all a great stay. Definitely coming back.

My boyfriend and I went to Golden Valley for Valentines Day. When we booked it gave us an option to check in at our preferred time. When we got there, we were told you can only book in at this specific time which made us have about 3 hours to wait. We went to go grab food at the one "pub type" restaurant as it was the only one open. The food was not great and service was so slow. We then went back to reception to see if there was anything they could do to help us (as this was also valentines day). We were then told by one of the people in the front that we should go across the road to the mall while we wait. Basically there was just no accommodating, nothing to help us out. I then was luckily able to book a massage that was a complete waste of money. We then eventually get a room. My boyfriend calls rooms service to order a bottle of wine his exact words were "can we please get a bottle of wine and two glasses". It took about 30min for the wine to eventually get to our room. The lady had no wine glasses and said "we should have asked" - which we did. In my opinion we shouldn't have even needed to ask? She then said "well now I have to walk back to the casino to fetch only two glasses". I was completely speechless after that. We then called reception to ask for a double adaptor so that we could charge our phones the response was "we don't have one". No one tried to make a plan for us or even just be more accommodating about it. In the mix of all of this happening the staff between the lodge and the casino were not friendly or helpful at all. Due to there being no other restaurant available we went back to the same place to get dinner and some drinks. I have never waited so long for a glass of wine to be poured. There was no "ill be with you now" or "sorry for the wait" absolutely nothing. When we got our dinner it was below average. The next morning my boyfriend and I went for breakfast we couldn't even finish it. I am so disappointed in my experience and I will never go back. There was no nice Valentines day things happening, the staff are not accommodating at all and didn't make me feel welcomed as I also felt I was getting constant stares. There was even a point where my boyfriend and I were getting our Casino cards and when he was giving the lady his information she just rolled her eyes at him and made its seem like it was such a mission. Overall my boyfriend and I just did not have a good time, I think its sad because the place has a lot of potential.

I was fortunate enough to be invited on a Grand Slots golf tour this week. As I arrived, there was a chap waiting to take my clubs, which i only saw again when i arrived at the course the following morning. The logistics were superb.
It's my second such visit. On my first visit, the GM asked me if i was satisfied, to which i had replied that I was, but that i was slightly disappointed that they didn't have the craft beer of my choice. I was blown away, not only that he remembered me, but that he'd ordered in enough of my poison to keep me suitably lubricated. . Keenan, you legend. Lendl, the barman, was superd and seemed to know what everyoe drank before they even got to the bar. Excellent service!!!!!
I was in a room between 2 families whose kids, quite naturally, were running between the rooms and slamming doors. When I got back from supper, I had been moved to a different room. Everything runs so smoothly and effortlessly.
I mentioned that I was also on a rather specific dietary plan (yes, the guest from hell) and the Executive chef was so accommodating. Her senior chef, Munisa (?) was expecting me and looked after me brilliantly.
All in all, for a person who doesn't even gamble, I had an awesome time .
What great teamwork!!!

We stayed overnight with our twin babies (4 1/2 months old). When we made our reservation, we made it clear that we need a cot in our room and that we would be a late check-in. We were assured that housekeeping would be informed and that the cot would be ready and waiting in our room. After a four-hour drive, we checked in at 10pm. We haven't yet had any dinner, and we were told that room service would be available until 10:30pm. We got to our room - no cot. We let the desk know that we needed the cot, and we couldn't find the menu in the room. The cot eventually arrived - an old camping cot with no mattress. We asked for a mattress - a thick feather mattress was brought, not the standard breathable camping cot mattress. When we eventually found the menu under all the luggage, we called for room service - apparently the chef had already left. One of the hotel staff offered my husband a burger that he had ordered at the menu rate, which was gratefully accepted. When I brought this up the next morning to the desk staff when we checked out, I was asked if we were not told that we could order meals for ourselves from "next door". No, we were not told about this option. I ended up having very little sleep, as I kept on checking on my babies to make sure they were in a position where they could comfortably breathe. Really not impressed, and not the service level that one expects from a hotel linked to the Sun International group.

The lodge is a awesome place for a weekend getaway. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom perfect for a family to share.

The buffet breakfast is not the best but we always have it because it is convenient.

The pool area has a play park for kids and the casino has a nice kids area.

The Mountain Mill Mall is a 5 minute drive away.

We only stayed at the lodge for 1 night and were very pleasantly surprised by not only the spacious and well equipped family room but also the amenities and friendly service.

We had one unpleasant interaction with an employee which was reported and addressed by the relevant supervisor within an hour- very professional and efficient. The food and beverage manager at the casino restaurant on the evening of 19 October was also very accommodating and helpful in assisting us with one of our children.

This lodge offers two gaming areas for children, an outdoor pool, a casino (though small) and a spa which is lovely for Couples Massage.

Did find the breakfast price to be rather expensive, but the Mountain Mill mall across the N1 is open everyday with core hours of 9-3 to cater for the budget conscious.
