this protea hotel is behind the station in Worcester where the local prostitutes seem to practice their trade. arriving one is uncertain where to park as it seems dodgy to park in the street - one has to go indoors and they kindly inform you to drive three doors down and turn in next to the bottle store - you get the surprise to learn you have to pay R30 to park inside. once in the hotel it is ok - friendly staff, good breakfast and rooms nice

Good business hotel with nice facilities apart from antiquated WiFi system which requires codes and passwords for each appliance. These should last 24 hours but don't. Every time the appliance logs off you have to go through the whole rigmarole again. In two days I must have had to log in at least 20 times and had to use at least 6 different codes/passwords even though I was only sending and receiving emails. Free WiFi is available all over the place now and should be introduced here

I recently spent a night at this hotel and I can confidently describe the experience as very good. The check-in process was quick and efficient and all of the staff that I encountered were very friendly and helpful. My room was neat and clean and all of my requests to housekeeping were taken care of. Breakfast was comprehensive and the service in the restaurant was good. Overall, I was happy with my stay at this hotel.

One of the best Protea Hotels, friendly staff and their meals are affordable, no need to go to other restaurants, they also stock local wines, at an affordable price, which is good for local wine farms. Rooms as spacious and clean. Will visit them again. Save parking and free wifi available

Overall, my experience at this hotel was not a very positive one, from not having items offered on the room service meal, to the aircon not working in the room. Conference guests talking at the top of their voices late at night and slamming doors to food that was not the most tasty. I definitely would not recommend this hotel

I chose this hotel because the Golden Valley hotel at the casino was full.

I expected more since I am familiar with the Protea Hotels brand.

Bedding and towels are well past their use by date. Thin and torn. Rooms are tiny and very uninspiring. Wifi did not have good reception in room.

The rooms are big, the staff are very friendly and the location is close to many things in Worcester. It is an hour and a half drive from Matroosberg and very close to Fairy Glen nature reserve. Parking is at a cost under roof.

Please stay away from this hotel! The location is dingy and near a railway line and a dodgy sports bar. The reception is tacky as is everything there after including the so called gym and bar. The staff does not make matters better. This hotel does not deserve to be called a Protea Hotel. Stay away.

Well we arrived en-mass - 52 of us. The hotel was well prepared for us having already allocated rooms and the required paperwork. this was in the lounge next to the reception. Welcome drinks also provided. The reception area is nicely compact and relaxing. he staff are friendly and were helpful. I had room 122. This is a ground floor room.
The room is well appointed with everything that you could need, good bed, nice sized table etc. The only problem that I had was that I could not get the room ward as the air con unit was blowing all its air onto the top of the wardrobe. A decent TV with a moderate selection of channels (at least I got to watch the cricket). A kettle and tea/coffee making stuff also there. The bathroom is also well appointed with good toiletries provided. There is a small outside area although walled in. Good for having a smoke. The bar area was OK and drinks were of a reasonable price. The restaurant is bright and airy and the food was very good. All in all a good 2 night stay.

Small ambience of stay and service in a small town. The hotel is centrally located and a walking distance to all the areas I had to visit. The stay was made easier also with additional services like ,email, scanning and printing within the hotel. The vine was truly a western Cape experience. Dinning was to my requirements and could accommodate additional requests without hassle.
