We had a one night stay at Muldersvlei Estate. Helen and her daughters went out of their way to welcome us. The room was spacious and super clean, with the most charming fire place in the room. Breakfast was delicious and served on the patio with a lovely view over the garden and towards the mountains. Helen took us ons a very special tour of the garden and made a one night stay feel like a holiday.
What a wonderful, inviting, gracious reception we received from Helen and her expert team. A 200 year old estate lovingly restored and adapted to create an authentic guesthouse with the the most beautiful gardens. Delicious breakfasts served on our patio were the perfect start to each of two short days.
Our son celebrated his wedding at this wonderful estate over the week-end of 23 March 2018. Thank you to Helen, Juliet, Johann and Jurgen who went out of their way to meet our every need. Friends out from the UK stayed in the cottages and had only good comments about their accommodation and the setting. We hosted a braai around the pool for 40 people on the night before the wedding. Helen and her team had tables and chairs set out for us, Jurgen put up fairy lights and Johann came to our rescue in giving us access to an area in the cottages to make the salads etc. The ceremony was held in the Manor House garden and the reception in the barn. Both venues were perfect for what proved to be a wonderful wedding. Helen's homemade lemon juice and ginger biscuits were a delightful treat to welcome guests when they arrived. Despite a few minor hiccups, the food was delicious. Breakfast for those staying in the cottages was served on the patio on both mornings. Once again, Johann agreed to a special request for a later start so as to allow our guests to enjoy a lie-in. The view of the mountains is spectacular. If you want peace and quiet, this is the place to be.…
We stayed at this lovely property for a wedding. Amazing view of the surrounding natural area. Our room was clean and came with a fireplace. Breakfast was set out right outside our room of us. We were well taken care of by Johan. Worth a stay !
We stopped one night for a wedding in the area. Owners were extremely welcoming and nice, rooms spacious and clean. The breakfast was quite unique, with home made blueberry yoghurts and english breakfast. Highly reccomended.
