We absolutely loved it at Majeka. Everyone on the team was nothing but incredible, giving us the best setting to relax and enjoy weather, food and wine in a very chilled sourrounding! We'd definitely come back, highly recommended.
We spent a couple of days in Majeka to relax after some time in Cape Town. The hotel is a haven of tranquility and quality - really nice room, attentive and friendly staff, a fine dining restaurant and one of the best breakfast options we have experienced at any hotel in the world. It was clear that owners and staff stamp their personality over all aspects of the hotel, meaning loads of quirky pig ornaments around the premises and food which clearly stems from family tradition and quality ingredients. Only a few minutes away from several vineyards, a really chilled out couple of days - and one small point I haven’t experienced in many places, we were always referred to by our first names which have a feeling of a very personal service and friendly environment. Excellent service. Semi private pool and huge rooms. Excellent breakfast and laundry is included ! See Wanda for excellent service ! Made reservations for us too and gave us a free tasting at an elegant winery up the street.

My husband and I left the property in good spirits being told it would come back in a few hours and so we left to local wineries. We came back at 7 pm and the power had still not come back. At this point, we were pretty frustrated because we hadn't checked into our room, couldn't shower, make any reservations to the spa, and were sitting in the dark with a few candles. We waited another 2 hours until the power came on and had dinner. Dinner…
We spent 2 nights here at the Majeka House. It’s super cool designed. The staff was always friendly! Breakfast here is really special and good. They have several juices, several sweets and you can choose from the a la carte menu. Which is also good. I can recommend the omelette and the eggs Benedict. We had a big nice room on top of the main building. It was very modern. BUT a little run down. In the bathroom the walls are a Little Dirty and you can tell that the refurbishment was quite some time ago. But still it has its own feeling and i liked it. We used the free laundry service and also the staff was super nice. If you look up your hotel earlier ;) you know it’s not in the center of stellenbosch. That wasn’t a problem for us though we used the taxi service of the hotel…
