We came and stayed at Roosenwijn guest house for 7 nights, and we could not have chosen a better guest house. The welcome and introduction to the homestead by Jeanine and Stephie was genuinely friendly, and warm. The rooms were very comfortable, cosy and serviced every day. Breakfast is included in the room rate and served from 7am: continental buffet and a selection of cooked eggs items available for you to order. We were in Stellenbosch to play golf, and on a few mornings, we would not have been able to have breakfast; no issues, Jeanine and Stephie organised us breakfast packs to sustain ourselves until the ninth hole! As well as the friendliness of the guest house staff and management, the location is great as you can walk down the street to the restaurants and shops within minutes. Overall, totally satisfied with our stay, highly recommended and would stay there again, if we return to Stellenbosch! Thank you Jeanine, Stephie and the team, great work!

My husband and I spent two nights at the Roosenwijn Guest House while setting our daughter up in her university residence. What a wonderful stay! We opted for a loft room with ensuite and it was equipped with everything we needed for our short stay.
We loved the historical feel of the house and also opted for the breakfasts served in the beautiful dining room.
The staff were friendly and Jeanine was very helpful and accommodating. We would definitely go back and highly recommend this guesthouse.

It's hard to complain about anything: Exellent service, lovely room (no. 14), great location.
We stayed eight nighs and felt almost as a member of the "family". The guest house is in a historic building and very cosy. Lovely to sit on the veranda at breakfast. We only had cold breakfast (don't like it hot), and that was sufficient for us. Fresh fruit salad could have topped the experience.
At booking it was very important that we could walk to restaurants in the evening and feel safe. And so it is. Nearest restaurant is about 300 meters away from the guest house, and we felt very safe. Good to be a little away from the more noisy restaurant area.
Plenty of lovely restaurants within short walking distance.

It was only a pleasure hosting you for such an extended period. We appreciate the great feedback and comments. Thank you for being Roosenwijn ambassadors. We do offer a daily seasonal fresh fruit platter on our breakfast buffet so please feel free to ask the ladies to cut this up for you on your next visit! All the best with your travels.

Our room was nice but really quite small. Beds weren’t super comfortable. Bathroom fan extremely noisy.
It was shocking that all the staff preparing and serving breakfast (which was very good) had NO MASKS! They didn’t even put them on when they saw us. I find that utterly shocking and disrespectful. The general part of the hotel itself was charming but was closed from the late afternoon and all evening so we couldn’t even go ad enjoy the lounge areas.

I stayed initially for 10 days but kept extending my stay until 3 weeks at this lovely Bed and Breakfast.
The staff was very helpful and gave me a warm welcoming feeling.
The location of the B&B is perfect, close to the center of Stellenbosch. Ideal to walk for a coffee in the morning or to come back after dinner without the need to drive (2 min. walking distance of the busy restaurants and bars).
The rooms were nicely decorated and the bed was good. The B&B has it’s own generator so when the town is cut off of electricity you still have light and ac at night!!
To everyone, couple, business or solo traveler, I can very recommend this place.

Roosenwijn Guest house is very well located in Stellenbosch, walking distance to most places of interest and restaurants.
The staff at the establishment were very friendly.
I did find the room a bit on the drab side and in need of TLC.
The towels had seen better days with holes in them.
If you compare the rates to other establishments in the area, then one expects a bit more than just average.
The breakfast were good but once again average.

This is a well appointed guesthouse run by a very efficient and helpful staff. The grounds are beautiful and the building is quaint. Breakfast, which included continental offerings as well as choices of hot meals made to order, was served by an attentive and friendly staff. The location is within easy walking distance of the downtown area where one can choose from myriad dining options.
Preliminary questions were answered promptly with helpful information. Stephanie arranged a transfer from the airport which was effected in a very professional manner-we were met as promised and transferred without issue.
This is also a great place to launch a day of wine touring. We highly recommend this facility.

This was my second stay at Roosenwijn, The staff is super accommodating - allowed us a early check in and a free room upgrade. Great breakfast included. Rooms are huge and tastefully decorated with most offering great views of the beautiful surroundings is a bonus. Excellent restaurants in walking distance.

We had a very pleasant 4 night stay at Roosennwijn Guest House. It is very well situated within walking distance to most of the town's attractions particularly all of the University buildings and residences, the Danie Craven Stadium as well as to the hub of town with restuarants, bars, shops etc. The room was clean and well furnished with all necessary amenities provided. Parking was always available with easy access. Good wifi and nice outdoor verandahs to sit at to catch up work or relax. The reception staff were particularly friendly and efficient and went beyond the norm to be accommodating and assit with queries and requests for help. Thank you,

A really great guesthouse in a central location. The rooms are spacious and well equipped and the breakfasts are excellent - cold meats, fruits and cereal/yoghurts, as well as a cooked breakfast. The staff are all very helpful and all done with a smile on their faces. There's also a nice little pool area where you can relax after a hard day at the wineries!
