I spent 6 glorious nights at Lyngrove Guest House. The hosts were amazing and went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and very helpful when I was looking for local sightseeing and restaurant options. Will definitely be back

Lyngrove is a wonderful property. It's only has a handful of bedrooms which makes the place even better! Lovely and quiet, but a short drive from Stellenbosch.

Antoinette and the team do a great job in making you feel like you own the place, whilst also being attentive to your needs, whether it be a salad for your braai or restocking the honesty bar when you've cleaned it out!

Wonderful stay!

We visited Lyngrove over the weekend, on a glorious rainy Saturday afternoon, Antoinette and Jan-Nico were welcoming and charming in every possible way.
We pre-ordered cheese platters which was set up in the lounge together with their extensive range of wines on offer. We focused on their Platinum rage. Jan-Nico is extremely passionate and informative about wine and we had a brilliant experience. Beautiful views, gorgeous wines, lovely friendly hosts. I will defiantly return in the summer and stay over for a few days.

We enjoyed the gorgeous surroundings and tranquility, just perfect for fresh business ideas.
A delicious lunch accompanied by excellent hospitality completed a successful day!
Can recommend Lyngrove for any business conference. The property also lends itself to a perfect weekend or longer getaway as it is close to all the winelands wine farms, restaurants, mountain walks, cycling routes and beautiful mountain scenery.

We absolutely loved our visit to Lyngrove Wines. Antoinette and Jan-Nico were superb hosts and made us feel right at home. The farm had ample space for our kids to run around while we tasted the wine. Jan-Nico’s knowledge is amazing, we had a very personal tasting where he answered all the questions we were usually shy to ask at other wine tastings.

We can’t wait to go back again 😊

The Estate is in farmlands on the Stellenbosch side of Somerset West. Host Antoinette is delightful - kind welcome, helpfully booked us a fantastic restaurant nearby. After months of lockdown and a recent knee op, we needed a romantic getaway and this was grand. The lounge had a warm fireplace, and the billiards room a lovely bar with their outstanding wines.

We stayed at Lyngrove over new years 2006. At first I was a bit concerned as we couldn’t find any review online, but all worries were erased the moment we arrived. The house (or should I say complex) is located in the middle of the fields, surrounded by vineyards with access through a dirt road that is used only by the few guests of the house, so real tranquility is achieved (as opposed to the bigger hotels that have hundreds of visitors a day for wine tasting etc.) yet it is close to Stellenbosch and is in the heart of the wine route. The staff is EXTREMLY nice and helpful and can arrange anything from wine tours to dinner reservation and even a private supper outside on the porch, they literally made us feel like this was our home. The room was HUGE and the bath room was one of the biggest I have seen in a hotel (and I have seen plenty) with a bath for 2 and a shower. The house also has a swimming pool (beautifully maintained) and a tennis court.

We plan to return again and again and to send all our friends there!

Stayed at Lyngrove last month when we were in Stellenbosch for a friend´s wedding. The B&B itself was lovely -- generously sized rooms, scrumptous breakfast, friendly staff.

However, we had quite a bit of trouble getting to the inn itself. We´d hired a car & driver for the weekend (wanted to be able to enjoy that delish South African vino!) and the inn was not setup well to accomodate guests who were not driving themselves.

Lyngrove is located behind 2 security fences, so you need someone to buzz you in to reach the property. Since guests room keys have a buzzer, we had no problem getting into the B&B after the wedding (about 1:30am). But once we got in, there was no way for our driver to get back out! So we had to ride back to the gate, buzz him out, and then walk back to the inn (a fair distance in heels).

If you´re hiring a driver, I´d probably recommend finding a more easily accessible place to stay. But if you´ve got your own wheels, Lyngrove is a beautiful place to stay!

So, if you are looking for a place to relax and recover, look no further than this - the Lyngrove Guesthouse. It’s exactly what the doctor ordered for us, on the countryside, far away from the usual urban distractions, however, still with the small, little pleasures of life close at hand. An outstanding breakfast offering on the porch overlooking the beautiful landscape, endless fields, blue skies and mountains on the horizon. A very attentive service staff, that had the patience to take care of you during long breakfasts that lasted until lunchtime. Always a friendly smile to be seen. It represents the very antithesis of the typical hotel offering. In fact, it feels more like you are being invited as very important guests to somebody’s home. It doesn’t get much better than that for us, having just celebrated the fifth anniversary of our much appreciated relation with the Lyngrove Guesthouse. Greetings from Tiina & Johnny
