I don’t often write a review, but this estate was so outstanding I feel it is worth sharing.
From the moment my husband and I arrived (early in the morning) from the UK we were made to feel at home by every single member of staff, and in particular Jacqueline the founders daughter who personally ensures everything is top notch. It’s not just a beautiful place with lovely, well thought out rooms, fantastic wine, run by people who care, it’s also a haven of tranquility.
Special thanks to Maria, Marilyn, Costa, Winston and of course Lexi and Roxi (guard dogs with style) đź’•

What an amazing experience. The hospitality started from shortly after we made the booking when our request to check in earlier was granted (this is despite the fact that we made the booking the morning of our arrival), upon our arrival we were met by Ali and Gert-Jan who checked us in, Ali and one of the team members carried our bags to the exceptionally large exquisite room (1 of 3), whilst Jacqui showed us our room.
The afore-mentioned, together with the magnificent views and quietness (there are only 3 rooms) added to the relaxed nature of our stay. The quality and presentation of the breakfast was great.
This amazing experience did not stop there but continued throughout our stay and we recommend Aaldering to anyone who wants to stay in the Stellenbosch area.

We actually stayed at Aaldering over a year ago but hadn’t had a chance to write a review until now. This is an amazing hotel that we would highly recommend to stay at. The rooms are huge & we had a massive pool entirely to ourselves. The hotel is located in beautiful vineyards a short drive from Stellenbosch (Uber exists but we would probably recommend to hire a car if you can). The owner is very attentive, super friendly and helpful. The value for money at this place is incredible – we will definitely come back (and we’re not even huge wine drinkers…if you are interested in wines you absolutely must come to this place)

Already upon arrival at the estate we were welcomed in a warm and elegant way. William (lodge manager) welcomed us and guided us to our fabulous lodge that is undoubtfully equipped with everything one need that is looking for a relaxing, quiet and peaceful stay. The friendliness of the staff was amazing and contributed to feel welcome and as a respected customer. Nothing was asked too much. Winetasting was provided with a high degree of passion. Breakfast in the morning was superb. Not overdone but just what was needed and all fresh products. All in all a fantastic stay in Devon Valley and we definitely will call for Aaldering Vineyards & Wines Luxury lodges next time we are in town.

A beautiful, impeccably-managed and luxurious and romantic wine farm with 3 large suites, a gorgeous outdoor swimming pool with jacuzzi overlooking the valley and lake. Great farm breakfast, award-winning wines, quiet location yet close proximity to Stellenbosch and wine land attractions. Gracious and attentive hosts.

Our hosts Jaqueline Aaldering and her husband Gert-Jan Posthuma have created a little paradise in the middle of the winelands of Stellenbosch. Three suites exquisitly equipped and furnished with any comfort you can think of make your stay unforgettable. In the fridge you will find a complimentary selection of wines from the Aaldering vineyard. The breakfast is excellent and no buffett !!!! with a wide variety every day. Lodgemanager William - his vision is "when you are happy I am happy" - makes a wonderful job. Conclusion: The Aaldering suites are not far from paradise.

The Aaldering family offers 3 rooms, as they dont want to loose focus on what they are good at: making Wine.
The rooms are 6* level. Spacious, best materials only and great eye for detail.
Nice breakfast with a view in the tasting room. In the midst of the Wine making process.
Definitaly a great choice to stay. We will be back!

If you have an appreciation for historic charm and old school sophistication, then this wine tasting experience is a MUST VISIT - the accommodation too is exceptional - the service is outstandingly superior to the norm - the boutique wine estate is personally managed by the family who owns it - this in itself sets it apart from the rest - the lodges are 5 star and the views are breathtaking - highly recommendable..

We thoroughly enjoyed our four night stay on this winery. The accomodation is excellent and very spacious. The small kitchenette was good as we sat on the terrace in the evening, with cheese and wine which was perfect after a fancy lunch. The family are keen to show you around the winery and to give you the opportunity to enjoy the wine- three bottles in the fridge. Jacqueline was always around to ensure all was well. Lunga the new man in the tasting room was great, really trying hard to ensure we were well looked after.
The bathroom is modern and very clean. The other rooms have old furniture which give character and offer a unique lodge. The pool is fabulous, narrow but long so you can actually swim a few lengths.
The early morning view across the Devon valley was amazing.
From here it is very easy access to Clos Malvern, overall one of the best lunches in the Cape.
There are plans to increase the accomodation and facilities, this place will only go from strength to strength.

Dear Mr. Fries,
We have a lot of great facilities but unfortunately no swimming pool or fitness room. We serve a full hot breakfast every morning but there is not a restaurant on our farm. Nevertheless there are a lot of nice restaurants nearby.
We hope to see you as a guest in our beautifull Lodges. It will be a memorable stay for you.
Best Regards,
Aaldering Vineyards & Wines
