If you see my previous review you will realise I was very unhappy with this establishment. Since then the PR person apologized on behalf of the owners and offered a free weekend and a meal at their expense. The accommodation is nice and very well equipped for self catering (note no freezer just a fridge. The views are spectacular from the patio you overlook Villiera game and wine farm with Table Mountain in the distance. From the front views of the mountains around Paarl. The bed is very comfortable and it is very very quiet.

They also have a micro brewery which is excellent and a decent restaurant with good food and reasonable prices, the service is good and friendly. There is a play park for kids as well so very much a family kind of place. Unfortunately rather a lot of flies but given the location its not surprising. I can certainly recommend it a thoroughly enjoyable experience well worth the visit.

We had a one night stay-over at Wild Clover - our accommodation was a lovely little one bedroom cottage with a view over the neighbouring wildlife preserve and dam. We had a constant stream of animals parading past: giraffe, eland, springbok - so surprising to have the bushveld 30 mins out of Cape Town! The accommodation was good but basic - I would suggest that the owners invest in a few ice trays for the fridge (especially in this kind of heat); as well as braai tongs to make the stay more convenient. The TV was a teeny little monitor in the kitchen - we almost had to use our bird-watching binoculars to see anything from the couch on the other side of the lounge - but as we were not there to watch TV it was not an issue ;-)
Service was great - the man who showed us the cottage (unfortunately forgot his name) immediately sorted out the sleeper couch (which was made up for my son) which was broken, and delivered a single bed within half an hour. Very helpful and super friendly.
We had lunch at the Wild Clover restaurant - the burgers were nothing special but the wedges were great! The beers were really fantastic - we completely forgot to take some home with us (will have to order online....)
Lovely spot for kids - my 6 year old had a blast.
All in all a good spot for basic, family fun.

We often use the cottages on the Wild Clover Farm when we have functions on the farm and every time we say that we must do this more often. The complete relaxed atmosfeer and the wild animals wandering past you brings a calmness that is so needed in modern day life. Who will believe that it is possible to have the sun setting over Table Mountain, tall trees reflecting in a dam in front of you and an Eland walking past, in one picture. If you don’t believe me see the attached pictures.

We went there to eat and the food.....was terrible!! the chips were over done and greasy and the pizza bases were soggy and tasted awful. The grounds for the children to play was full of weeds and the equipment looked dangerous. The lead to the jumping castle was lying around still plugged to the mains with young kids playing close by. We sat inside as it was quite windy and the placed smelled musty and horrible.

The farm is well located, and the cottages are basic but have a nice view over a wildlife reserve. However, each morning at 05h30-05h45 a group of employees would converse loudly right outside the cottages, seemingly deliberately trying to disturb our sleep and wake us up. They also started up their scooters and trucks which made a huge noise. After this happened the first time, I queried it with the reception and they said they'd sort it out. But it happened again the next day. It completely ruins a weekend getaway to be woken up at that time of the morning by inconsiderate staff making a loud noise, when there is literally an entire farm where they could meet at that time. Lastly, the cottages did not feel clean, and a few things were broken in the cottage - the stove didn't work, the electricity cut out for a few hours on the one day, and so on. Altogether, not a good experience and would not stay here again.

The beer at Wild Clover is good but the service and food is not worth it. DO NOT EAT HERE! We waited more than half an hour for our food and the food was sub par. Also the incorrect food came to the table. We just wanted to get out of there. Do not eat here, At least not until they find their feet.

Beautiful little cottages with a gorgeous view of wildlife and Table mountain in the back round .
So tranquil a perfect spot to relax with loved ones and just switch off.

The restaurant and brewery are a little walk away through farm fields and they serve a very good selection of good boutique brewery beers and gin on the tap !!

The restaurant is perfect for families with huge play areas for the kids.

The cottages come with a small self contained kitchen perfect for those who enjoy catering with a gorgeous patio and braai facility .

Evenings are spent around the fire watching the animals a few steps from the patio.

I will definitely be back I enjoyed the quiet relaxed feel of this place..

We rented all the cottages for the week-end of 23 March 2018. It was a perfect choice as it was only 7km from Muldersvlei Estate where our son had his wedding. Prutty went out of her way to make us feel at home. The animals in the reserve on the other side of the fence came up close enough for us to photograph them - giraffe, various buck and huge tortoises. We could see the zebra further down. The cottages were perfect for our large group, comfortable and with everything we needed. The farm is peaceful with beautiful views of the mountains and the city in the distance. We all had lunch at the Brewery once we had vacated our cottages. Everyone had burgers which were delicious, the service excellent and friendly, - good value for money. Despite being away for a short, busy week-end, we returned home feeling relaxed and happy. Certainly plan to return but will remember to pack the binoculars next time.

Quite disappointed in Wild Clover. Phoned yesterday to make a booking in December. Unfortunately im traveling through and only need a nights accommodation for my family. They have 3 rooms available, but fail to accomodate my family due to we can't stay for more than one night. We're traveling throughout the western cape and only need n room for the night to continue on with our travels the next day. Swak guys

"Rooms are self catering so bring food and drinks if you do not want to eat out for meals. There is also a braai at each cottage with a beautiful view of the game farm - great way to spend the afternoon with friends and family.Pick up a pack of beers from the Wild Clover Brewery on the farm, sit back and enjoy :)"
