Delightful rooms, attentive staff, extremely helpful and with a smile. Breakfasts absolutely delicious. Close to restaurants and CBD Stellenbosch. Secure parking in a lovely area of Stellenbosch, quiet establishment set in a tree lined road.

I was well looked after by Marietta and team after i came down with Covid on my second day at the guesthouse. It must be every hosts nightmare but they were very good at accommodating me and went to the supermarket to buy me some food. It is a pleasant guesthouse with good breakfast, stylish rooms and very helpful staff.

Dear Kavitha :-) Thank you for taking the time to write a review and for your positive critique. It was communicated with your booking office, that we do not have an in-house restaurant and that dinners are ordered from a 3rd party, should a client prefer not to go out for dinner. I appreciate your feedback regarding this and I will make a special effort of sourcing an alternative service provider next time you stay with us. I might just cook for you myself! Your comment about our swimming pool was more than a bit surprising, and I made a special effort of checking on our security cameras. The owner of the guesthouse is very specific about pool care and he is actually seen where he attended to the pool himself on the Sunday morning before your checked in. All I see is a bright blue swimming pool looking quite inviting! For the remainder of your stay our grounds man can be seen attending to the pool daily, scheming off a few leaves and sweeping the sides and bottom. Our pool pump runs on a timer and filters the water daily from 09h30 until 16h00 in the afternoon, specifically set as such not to disturb our guests during the night. Although in the middle of autumn, I recall that we had very nice weather during the week of 8-12 May and I'm truly sorry you did not enjoy our pool. All the best. Mariëtte.

The guest house is well situated with unique and lovely decor. It's a bit away from the busy city center so it is peaceful. Friendly staff and a delicious breakfast add the appeal. We'd love to return.

In my 6 trips to South Africa, I’ve stayed in tons of guesthouses and Baruch is by far on top of my list for cleanliness, comfort, service and quality of breakfast. The facilities are well maintained and they really take proper measures against covid. We’ll definitely return again. Highly highly recommended.
