Lovely place to stay. The quality of the bed and linen was outstanding. The breakfast was delicious, and the views were even better. It was beautiful to watch the moon rising over Simonsberg and the Vineyards. The atmosphere was absolutely fantastic.

This was my 3rd stay at Skulpadvlei and everything including the room, facilities and staff were exceptional. This was a busy week night with multiple small year end functions being held at the restaurant and so the service was a touch slow. Having said that though the food and drinks were exceptional. Rooms are nice, but the food is terrible. The noise and parties at the restaurant, and the very bad and slow service is very disappointing. There is so much crazy parties going on all day, and you never get to experience the calm that you would expect at a wine farm. This is a cafeteria more than a wine farm getaway.

I would highly recommend Skilpadvlei Wine Farm, the accommodation was superb, the restaurant food lovely and very reasonable. The staff extremely helpful, cheerful and fun. It was a real treat at the end of a busy week.

Skilpadvlei is a very nice accommodation for a family. Location near to Stellenbosch and wine farms. Grass at your doorstep as well as a dam and a walking path. A lekker stoep ...weather permitted. Parking space very big...we had enough space for 2 cars and a caravan. Bathrooms are okay...no shower in the main bedroom and the shower in the other room, was very small. When you want to blow dry your hair...you can't find a plug near a mirror??

Warm white globes would improve the atmosphere in the evenings, could leave bright white globes for the work desk. The mirror window made the room brighter still. Otherwise the room was very comfortable and secure. The gardens were attractive and welcoming. The restaurant was great and staff were friendly.

I’m not a wine drinker yet this was the place chosen for a get together. The outdoor seating was jam packed and it was very noisy, but that didn’t take away the excellent service given by our waitress and the mouth watering gourmet pizzas. Considering how many meals were coming out, we hardly waited long for our food and drinks. Top marks for the location. It was a perfect autumn setting overlooking the vineyards and the mountains.
