When we arrived, it was very quiet. In the manor house, no-one at all. Our room was a disappointment and the power went off at about 7pm until the next morning, with obvious problems for unsuspecting guests. Next morning we were moved to a vacant cottage very nearby and the rest of our five night stay was very good. The accommodation was spacious, a lovely bathroom and the use of an outdoor swimming pool. Sure, we had a few issues but nothing like a problem. The staff were very helpful, particularly Karin who made us feel very welcome. Breakfasts were nice and the room was cleaned daily to a good standard. I would recommend this without doubt. It's quiet, reasonably priced and the cottages are indeed as described in many other reviews.

Thank you so much for reflecting on a great stay with us. We finally managed to sort the problem causing electricity failures, was not easy for the poor electrician. Just so glad that we could move you to another unit and make up for the hiccup on the first night. We appreciate your recommending Klein Welmoed and complimenting us staff. Warm regards from Karin & Team.

Klein Welmoed is a beautiful wine and olive farm in one of the most scenic parts of South Africa. It was very convenient for getting to Stellenbosch and Somerset West and less than an hour from Cape Town. Our cottage was like a small home; spacious and clean with all amenities and a fabulous pool. Breakfast was scrumptious and generous and Karen and her team gave us great service; even waiting up for our late check in.

Heart warming when guests take the time to reflect on a good time had. Thank you! We love preparing breakfast, super glad you enjoyed it. Such a pity that you had not read through our info file placed in all our rooms and cottages as we update it every year recording detailed information of all the unique and new places, including markets, to visit and super exciting things to do in and around the area. We appreciate living in this part of the world and love to share information with our guests. Enquire at Reception if you are uncertain next time. Have a good year. Kind regards from our super team.

Karin and her team provide a most warm and welcoming environment for you to enjoy this wonderful location and excellent accommodation. Nothing is too much trouble and the quality and variety of produce at breakfast for an small guest house is very much appreciated. We stayed in Olive 1 which has all you need for a relaxing stay (that said, all the rooms look to be of a similar standard), and in particular the quality of bed ensures you get the opportunity to have a great night’s sleep. The location is ideal and really helps you feel you are in the heart of the wine region as there are lots of good quality restaurants and vineyards only a stone’s throw away. We will be back!
