Lovane Boutique Wine Estate and Guesthouse is a 4-star accommodation gem in the Winelands. Situated on an award-winning working wine farm, the guesthouse has 16 well-equipped rooms. Enjoy breakfast in summer on the deck outside, while enjoying the beautiful vineyard views. Cosy up infront of the fireplace in winter - enjoying some of our estate wines (including cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc and petit verdot varietals, some of which have been awarded prestigious Veritas awards. Now offering our guests a mobile spa service (please enquire from our reservation/reception area).

A very last minute booking that we do not have any regrets making.
We felt extremely welcome from the moment we arrived and well past our checkout.
We had two rooms next to one another being a family of four. We were able to easily move between our rooms and spent a great evening away from home.
The welcoming bottle of red wine was the cherry on top of the cake.
We had a wine tasting after checkout and stayed to enjoy a bottle of their sauvignon blanc over looking the vineyards.
A big thank for tour hostesses who went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful break. Nothing felt like a big ask and the breakfast was incredible.
Covid measure were strictly in place and sanitizers available on rooms and public shared areas.

My friends and I enjoyed a beautiful stay and this boutique hotel. Manageress was friendly ans helpful with all our special requirements. The location was perfectly situated close to various wine farms, but out enough to feel like you were not in the city.

We had a great time staying at this boutique hotel. Everything is in excellent condition, and the views of the vineyards are beautiful. Breakfast was delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary wine tasting—the wines come highly recommended. We even had the pleasure of meeting the owner and his wife, who are warm-hearted people. We felt very welcome, and the hospitality at this boutique hotel is truly amazing. Highly recommended, and we will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

I drove into Lovane and had to press the gate bell which was covered in cobwebs. once I was shown my room an industrial weedeater started going, right out side my room, this was at 17h30, after several unsuccessful attempts to get the staff to stop using the weed eater, they finished making a noise at 20h00. No-one answered the Lovane reception number to help, and the security guard on duty didn't know how to assist me at all. There were very dirty glasses in the restroom, a leaking shower, damp on the walls and a cracked toilet seat. I had to order dinner in- no crockery or cutlery available as reception was all locked up. The Linen was lovely and clean, but honestly the entire experience was not Boutique and I wouldn't return again.

Your review is noted. As a four star guesthouse, our Reception closes at 17:00. The weedeater was used on the neighbour’s farm - a once a season event that occurs to avoid fires around the vineyard. I apologise this this occurred on the night of your stay. Crockery and cutlery is made available to guests in the lounge - if they prefer to order in. We apologise that your stay with us did not meet your expectations.

I can highly recommend you give the Lovane Boutique Winery a try if you are in the area. As you enter the restaurant you have a set of stairs leading you down towards the cellar where the tasting room is also located. The tasting room is small and intimate with glass doors that lead into the cellar, making for nice photo opportunities. They have a nice variety of wines to taste, with their Isikhati Red Blend (Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot) being our clear favourite. Although this is a boutique winery their prices weren't exorbitant so you can take some of the love home with you. The lady that did our tasting was also very welcoming, friendly and informative. We will definitely be back.

Our stay at this hotel was fantastic! The staff were incredibly accommodating, allowing us a late checkout and understanding our delay, which made a great impression.
The room was spacious and offered a breathtaking view of the winery, complete with a wonderful sunset that added to the charm. Breakfast was delicious, and the friendly staff made us feel truly welcome.
Being close to downtown was a big plus for convenience, and we were touched to receive a bottle of wine as a welcome perk.
It’s just a shame we didn’t have time to enjoy the wine tasting, but we’d love to return and experience it next time. Highly recommended!

The place is very cosy, interior is atmospheric, we were surprised by a welcoming bottle of wine in our room. The breakfast was really nice and tasty. Sunset view was astonishing.
Unfortunately the service is disappointing. We asked for additional blanket as there was only one on our room - it was not brought.
When leaving the hotel our friends found that they were robbed. Somebody opened the window and stole near $600 and some personal belongings. The owner was behaving awfully, he blamed us and did nothing to help us. He shouted at our guide at the end just kicked us out of the hotel. Now he continues to insist that we have robbed ourselves 😀
I do not advise to visit this place.

This is the third platform that you are leaving a defaming review on. We have tirelessly explained to you that none of our staff had access to the room at the time that the alleged theft took place. Yes, we did ask you to leave our premises after you tried to kick down a glass door, and spat in the owner’s face (in full view of other guests and staff) - both actions which are viewed as criminal and could be punished by a court. We hope that in future you will find a guest house which accepts this kind of behaviour from guests.

We stayed for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed Lovane. It is located just outside of Stellenbosch centre but easy to get an Uber ride into town. The room was well equipped and quiet. Breakfast was excellent and fresh, with a cooked to order hot choices.
Would not hesitate to stay at Lovane again.

The stay was very pleasant and the complimentary bottle of wine was a big surprise. The staff were extremely helpful. The rooms were very clean and convenient and the surrounding vineyards made our stay a pleasant one. The property is conveniently situated a few minutes from Stellenbosch and surrounding wineries. Breakfast was reasonable to good, but more attention to presentation and variety will round a great stay off. We will definitely stay here again.
