We booked last minute for a one night stay and ended up with an amazing room with stunning views. On arrival we were met by Craig who throughout our short stay bent over backwards for us. The hotel is small, peaceful, with great staff and breathtaking views some off the best you will get anywhere without doubt. Cannot recommended enough and would return in a heart beat. Amazing!!
This place is extraordinary. The estate sits in the most picture perfect place imaginable with a view of the valley, surrounding mountains and the vineyards. Bathed in sunshine all day long the colours change throughout the day. The team here are really kind and helpful. I ate here throughout my stay and everything i had was fantastic along with the estate's red and white wines. The villa was really comfy with a large living area, a good choice of TV channels, well equipped kitchen and the same view to die for from the terrace which i spent a lot of time sitting looking at. This is really a special place and i can't wait to return one day.
We stayed here as part of our honeymoon for 2 nights and had the best time. When you arrive, you are greeted by the loveliest staff members who provide you with a complimentary drink and check you in with no hassle at all. Our room was absolutely beautiful, we had an amazing view and a free bottle of wine to enjoy on our balcony! The pool area was lovely, comfortable sun loungers and there was sun cream and cold water available at all times. The breakfast was included in our booking and this was fantastic, there was a buffet with choices of yoghurts, fruit, croissants etc and you also had the choice of different cooked breakfasts. I particularly enjoyed the French toast. We also tried the wine tasting and had dinner here twice - the food was amazing. Our stay was perfect, staff were so helpful and friendly and the setting was absolutely stunning - couldn't ask for a better place to stay on your honeymoon!…
Clouds is a small Vineyard with a relaxed make yourself at home kind of atmosphere. Food was excellent and staff very friendly. One tiny thing to consider is build the confidence of the waiting staff. They seem a little inexperienced and I need of some training to be able to respond to questions. There was no harm done and in no way impacted our stay but small details can make a huge difference.
Clouds was the 2nd hotel we visited in our much awaited trip to South Africa. The view from our room (above the main hotel) and the hotel deck is just stunning, and everything you would expect. The room was elegant and sumptuous, with lots of surprise inclusions (mini-bar, bottle of wine, flip flops etc.) Breakfast was varied and very good, and the staff were very helpful with arranging dinner bookings and a golf cart to take us to Delair Graffe for one of the bookings. All in all, this would have been a 5 star review other than a few frustrating details. On our arrival we were told that we could have a complimentary wine tasting. We asked if we could do that, and would we need to book and were told that no, we could just request it on the day, as long as it was before 4:30 pm On the following day, we had lunch at Clouds near the pool as there was a large party in doing a wine tasting and cellar tour. At the end of lunch, we asked if we could do a wine tasting, and asked when we would like it (this was around 2:30), we said that we saw they were busy, so were happy to wait if it was easier. About an hour later, a different member of staff came to tell us that the wine tasting was not possible as it was after the time allowed????? The other issue we encountered was during breakfast on the 2nd day, it took about an hour for us to be asked what we would like for breakfast, after my husband going up to the waitress, making his own coffee and asking for a tea for me. The tea came without milk and so I asked for some. After 15 minutes, I went to the breakfast bar and took some milk from there as none arrived. In the meantime, a party of Americans came to their table in dribs and drabs and went to the kitchen to order their food. Another couple arrived long after us and were immediately asked for tea/coffee orders by the reception staff who had, I assume, been drafted in to help out. There clearly had been no communication as to who had arrived for breakfast when to prioritise those who had been waiting longer (there was also another couple who were sidelined this way). On the whole, we really did like the place, however, I think that a few of the staff are left to make decisions which don't really reflect what Clouds are selling, which is a shame.…
