The rustic, wooden, warm character and wood fired hot tub welcomes you home. The crackle and warmth of the large indoor fireplace sets the stage for a beautiful, ageless dance of the flame; the only "TV" we allow whilst spending quality time with your family and enjoying an amazing glass of wine. The rooms are all super king sized beds, with extra length, which is done by using two 3/4 mattresses that can be separated

The Log Cabin was definitely the place to stay we liked most on our 3 weeks round trip. Spacious rooms equipped with everything you need, magnificent views over the vineyards and up to the mountains, great food with fresh vegetables and flowers self grown in the garden. And great service complementing the great experience.

Very tranquil setting amongst the vines and greenery with an amazing outlook from the dining area and deck. Well set up with a lovely pool to cool off and a wood burner spa to warm up. Chef JL, Noleen and all of the team were so wonderful and friendly. Highly recommended for exploring the wineries and beyond.

Stayed for 3 nights recently , had a lovely time. Room is comfy, fab views and very comfortable bar and lounge with the log fire. Great log fired hot tub, and swimming pool. Pleasant walks around the local area and the lakes. Breakfast was fab on the sunny balcony. And it’s a 5 min stroll to the Louisvale vineyard and restaurant just up the hill. Would gladly stay here again.

What a beautiful place with such breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere. It was nice to take a little break from the city to relax in wine country. Check-in was stress-free; I communicated with Helene regarding the approximate arrival time. My family and I ubered to the cabin with no issues whatsoever. We had no plans to rent a car; we wanted to relax and walk to a few neighboring wineries, and everything was okay. We walked to J Cle Roux and Louisvale wineries and ubered to others. Check-in was smooth. The cabin was beautiful, and the two bedrooms were adequate for our two-night stay. The bathroom was clean, and the shower was excellent with hot water. The living room/kitchen area had all the necessary amenities ( fridge, washer, and dryer ), a nice sitting area on the kitchen island, books to read, and a list of numbers to call for needs or emergencies. The back door in the living room gave way to a lovely backyard, perfect for morning coffee and relaxing in the evening while enjoying the views. There was a separate common lobby/lounge. It was cozy, with a fireplace, bar, and different wines and spirits. There was an honesty jar for drinks consumed, with whatever amount you thought was appropriate to give. Next to the lounge was an outdoor deck with a breakfast/ meal area. There was a heater that could be utilized at night if needed. A pool and a hot tub were available, but we did not get a chance to use either. We will have to come back. A load-shedding schedule was posted in the lounge, which was very helpful for planning. Breakfast was fantastic and the best I have had in a B & B. Excellent selection: coffee, tea, orange juice, yogurt with fruit, and three meal options. Compliments to the chef. Our host, Frank, was excellent! He made sure all our needs were addressed. He also prepared a Braai for us on Thanksgiving day, which was delicious and greatly appreciated. Frank was professional, witty, and such a kind soul. Thank you so much for your hospitality. There were restaurants that you could order food from, and we tried the Italian restaurant. The host arranged for food to be delivered to us, but the food could have been better; if you have no car/transportation, plan accordingly, as there are limited dining options/snacks at the cabin. We had a wonderful stay and will come back and stay longer. cons -not really a con, but you might not enjoy your stay if you do not love animals. I am okay with animals, but the cats were sometimes too close, especially during meals. -The dog barked a lot one night and kept us awake, unsure what was happening. -Blinds with cords are dated and can be a pain to operate. -Horrible Wi-Fi in the rooms, best in the shared lounge area. -In the future -generators will be helpful to curb load-shedding issues. These are just minor issues that did not hinder our stay; honestly, the pros outweighed the cons.

The Log Cabin is located in a beautiful setting. The building itself was great and rooms were spacious and comfortable. We loved main lodge room, where we could sit by the fire and meet other travelers. It's about a 15 minute drive to Stellenbosch, but you'll probably be arriving by car anyway, so no big deal.

We had a lovely stay at The Log Cabin. The rooms are lovely with very spacious bathrooms. The views are incredible. There is a swimming pool, wood fired hot tub, communal braai, lounge and bar. Its a really great spot for a group of family or friends wanting to wind down and enjoy the wonderful Stellenbosch views. While you get the feeling of being really remote, the shops and local wineries are just down the road which is really convenient.
