Baruch Guest House is the perfect accommodation for both leisure and business visitors. Situated 5 minutes away from Stellenbosch and De Zalze Golf Clubs and multiple wine farms, we make for a great golfing and wine tourism destination. Baruch Guest House on 29 Lovell Avenue is the new addition with 7 rooms, the 7th room being a large self-catering apartment. The Guest House features a large swimming pool and outside and entertainment area. Here Mariëtte, the manager and in-house resident will welcome you.

Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Located in a residential area a moderate walk from the centre of Stellenbosch. We walked into and out of town in the day and walked in early evening in daylight. On the recommendation of the host we got an Uber back after eating (R40)
The rooms are comfortable albeit a little garish and possible a bit over furnished for my personal taste. However I can readily ignore that aspect during a short stay. The bed was comfortable, shower good and small terrace welcome.
The pool are was lovely and the sunbeds very comfortable.
Solar and battery backup for load shedding
The staff and manageress were all lovely and their recommendations very good. The offer of a complimentary drink while sitting at the pool was a nice touch

Warm and cozy cushion inside the bed. Washing machine that we appreciated after a long long leisure trip around the country and we really needed washing our clothes. And very nice attention from the staff : "With pleasure" we will come back someday.

Every moment was beautiful and welcoming from the first day I came came in with warm welcome to my room with a beautiful view. Artist week was such a great hard work throughout the day and ofcourse i am a human and so I would come back to my room tired and in need of rest, my room was comfort in all aspects of space, the fresh small, neatness and my bed waiting to hug me and fall asleep. My experience at Baruch was comforting in my long week of art creation.

Baruch had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Our room had a large comfortable bed, large ensuite and a small balcony with table and chairs overlooking the garden and pool. The room was stylish and comfortable with added touch of a coffee machine which you don't get everywhere. The fridge in the room was well stocked (chargeable) and there was an honesty bar downstairs. Felt very secure. The staff and hostess were very pleasant and helpful. Happy to recommend and book restaurants for us. There was a few loungers around the pool and although we didn't use the pool, we did enjoy relaxing on the loungers under the available sun umbrellas with our books. Towels were provided for pool use. Breakfast was lovely. A great selection of cold breakfast - lovely fresh fruit, meats, cheese, pastries etc and a choice of hot breakfast. The guesthouse is set in a lovely neighbourhood but just a wee bit too far from the town centre to walk. A short drive in the car or taxi. Ideally situated for visiting the wine estates which is what we were there for. Good value for money.

Very welcoming, all needs catered for, efficient and excellent in every aspect. Rooms classically and elegantly decorated. Breakfast was scrumptious, catered for both warm and cold breakfast. The service lady proactively asked to iron my clothes a day prior.

Very nice room, large and well decorated. The room was decorated in a Italian style The manager was very helpfull with booking a restaurant (De Volkscombuis). Breakfast in the central room was also good. Conclusion; a very good guesthouse.

They have a lovely front of house lady, named Wendy. I was in their Venice suite and it's beautiful. They also have a friendly chef who is willing to pack your breakfast for you as a take away if you can't sit and eat.

We stayed at Baruch on Lovell for two nights over the NYE period.
It was simply perfect, from the helpfulness of the staff to the attention to detail of the room decor and the cleaniness of every area both inside and outside the room. Our room had direct access to a lovely swimming pool and the bathroom was very spacious.
The Guesthouse was very secure and nicely located in Stellenbosch, only a short drive to many of the great wineries in the area.
The continental breakfast was lovely, the service impeccable!
Highly recommended, we will be back!

Lovely rooms , good food and good location. The staff could be treated a bit nicer from the owner. The location is great for a large family, couples or a girlfriend getaway as it's intimate and boutique.

In my 6 trips to South Africa in the past years, I’ve stayed in tons of guesthouses and Baruch is by far on top of my list for cleanliness, comfort, service and quality of breakfast. The facilities are well maintained and they really take proper measures against covid. We’ll definitely return again. Highly highly recommended.
