Just a short walk away from a number of excellent restaurants, City Hall, Botanical gardens etc. Beautiful garden and friendly service. The cooked breakfast, spotty wi-fi and DSTV (peak hours not a lot of choices) could be better but Francois (patron at the weekend), the location and the honesty bar more than makes up for it.

I booked into Just Joey as I was setting my children up at Stellenbosch university. The little BNB / lodge was super accommodating, the staff very friendly etc. Would really recommend it to any traveller It does not have a generator with load shedding but they warn you about this way in advance. The position is within a five minute walk into the heart of the little town. I did not have breakfast, but they do serve what looked like a great hearty, home cooked breakfast.

Great location for a stay in Stellenbosch! Convenient base for exploring and central for all restaurants, bars and shops.
Very clean, simple well cooked breakfast A special mention for Angie, the front of house person. Nothing was too much trouble, incredibly helpful and accomodating, helpful when one of us was unwell and needed to attend a local clinic. Definitely would recommend!

It is a lovely guest house and really well situated in Stellenbosch, staff friendly and accommodating. However, despite realising that there was in fact a problem with the airconditioner in the room I stayed in, and telling me about the problem over breakfast after the first nights stay - it clearly hadn't been attended to. That evening when I came back to my room, it was like a sauna, as somehow the unit was on and heating the room. Then, after turning it off and cooling the room down by opening all the windows, (which let the mosquitos in) throughout the night, the unit kept beeping, turning on by itself, and certainly wasn't cooling - I wasn't in Stellies on holiday, rather working 14 hour days and rest was key, however it was not to be

Although this was only a one night stay, I found the room fresh and comfortable. The hostess and staff were so accommodating both before arrival and in the case of a missing room key/access remote that had been misplaced. Thea was so helpful. Loved the communal dining/meeting area. Highly recommended.

Everything was neat and tidy. the host was very friendly and always helpfull. The breakfast was very teasty and the help from the kitchen was excelant. Room servise was very good en everything was very neat. I love the simplisity of the room.

I was at the lodge for 9 nights. The room was terrific, especially the bed. The staff all went out of their way to please and were very helpful on local sites and guides. The neighborhood was safe and close to a great walking trail and bike concession. Many excellent restaurants within a 10 minute walk or less. I'm looking forward to bringing my family.

Small but clean rooms, ice bathrooms, great location. Friendly staff. We had the place to ourselves, it was nice. We were out most of the days so only came to sleep. Breakfast was lovely, staff very friendly.
I rated sleep quality average, not because of the beds, they were great. But because of the location we had drunken students singing and shouting by our room Saturday night. I guess that is to be expected in the centre of a student town, but just be prepared.

Very well based, however for the price expected a little more lush, aircon stopped working and noisy thingy outside the window kept me awake. Door lock also had problems. Location is good and appearance is also good, friendliness of staff and check in was also good.

The hardest beds I’ve ever slept on. All three us visitors were in horror.
The floor would have been softer. There is not breakfast included and when we asked to swim they wouldn’t come open for the pool.
They said there was a storm but this was around 1pm. The storm only came in at 6-7pm.
I picked this spot for the pool.
We were very disappointed.
