We were forced to seek alternative accommodation after arriving in Cape Town due to someone testing positive for Covid where we were suppose to stay, and eventually saw the add for Rozendal Guest Farm. We arrived without being 100% sure of the venue, and thought we would only maybe stay for a few nights. We ended up staying there for 11 nights and if possible, we would never have leaved!! Myself, and my husband with our baby daughter are longing to just go back there as soon as possible... We were literally depressed when we had to say goodbye! Miranda, the hostess is the kindest, most beautiful person ever, and absolutely nothing is too much effort for her. We have never felt so welcome anywhere like we did at Rozendal. ALL the staff members were amazing, friendly, polite, and welcoming. The rooms are beautiful and neat and clean. Breakfast is a relaxing and tasty experience. The surroundings are heaven for your eyes and soul and the animals are the cherry on top. Sitting under the tree and relaxing to feed the chickens and lama's with Hugo the beautiful resident dog close by, were all highlights of our holiday. It was a true farm experience, and it was without doubt a holiday that will always stand out for us, and where we could feel that we really relaxed and unwind. We will not likely stay anywhere else whenever we go to Cape Town again for holiday. Thank you SOOOOO much Rozendal - you were exactly what we needed.

We spent 5 amazing days at Rozendal farm. The self catering cottage had all we needed, was super clean & the little touches appreciated. Comfortable beds with crisp clean linen. Fantastic breakfast. Marinda & staff are truly wonderful. So efficient and friendly. Our briefing upon arrival was probably the best I've had at any establishment. They took every precaution as required for covid without making you feel awkward. Whatever we asked for was done in a split second. The vinegar tour very interesting in a beautiful setting. They are all passionate about their farm and making your stay more than comfortable. The vinegar is superb. Thank you for making our stay one to remember.

Our 5th time and an absolute gem of a place to relax away from the world, yet still be handy for the buzz in town. It is family-run by the son and daughter of the owners, so while the staff have changed over the years and we miss those who leave, some are long-term and we always feel fully warmly welcomed. Beautiful breakfasts served on the terrace (weather dependent), BBQ's a couple times a week in season. Sometimes even musical soirees. The cottages are well equipped and have lovely terraces. The views of the Jonkerhoek hills and over Stellenbosch are stunning at all times of the day. Lovely kitchen gardens. Delicious organic vinegar - tastings are worth it. Platters available for picnics. Vietnamese pig, cows, horses, hens, alpacas make for entertaining mini 'safaris'. Lovely big pool. Our SA family have visited us here and the staff have been over and above helpful for us to provide what we need to entertain them - using the BBQ and picnic tables.

The breakfast is excellent and the place to enjoy it also. There are so many beautiful views over the whole farm. The animals to feed are a nice highlight for children. The Pool is Great. Just the rooms could be renovated- which will be done in 2020.

We were booked in to this property as part of a package to South Africa and I must say that we absolutely loved it. If you want six star luxury look elsewhere, if you want a fantastic location with fantastic people then this is the place for you. We travelled to Stellenbosch from Cape Town and our driver got a little confused having been given the wrong hotel. But it really was worth finding. The location is beautiful, really relaxed, the farmhouse great and the room we had plainly furnished but very comfortable with its own patio. The pool is also loverly, as are the flowers and an interesting array of animals including a Vietnamese pot belly pig, alpacas, chickens and a couple of really friendly dogs. Gregory deserves a special mention he absolutely knows how to look after guestS. He was so friendly, made brilliant recommendations for eating out, booked for us and organised transport from a local firm. Charlton our driver was also recommended by him and was also great, punctual, friendly and informative. Kurt owns the farm, a family affair which manufactures balsamic vinegar. He gave us a tour and tasting which was really interesting and enjoyable. The breakfasts were great, outside on the patio and the braai a treat. We would highly recommend Rozendal which makes a lovely change from the usual hotels and would go back to South Africa just to stay there again as we loved it that much.

Awesome farm, very friendly staff, clean and nice rooms, nice braai (bbq), a lot of things to do (feed the animals, make a horse ride or just relax at the beautiful pool). Convient just outside of town, close to beautiful and good wine estates (eg Beyerskloof)

We enjoyed our stay very much! A lot of personal attention when booking wine tastings, trips etc. The room was clean, spacious and had a good bed and a nice view on a beautiful field. Breakfast is good and with good weather it’s served in the garden.

The swimming pool was very nice and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The people were very helpful with finding a good restaurant for the diner. Rozendal is situated in a quiet part of Stellenbosch, but within 5 minutes from the center.

From arrival the staff welcomed us making us feel right at home. The Farm encourages you to walk the property which we did. There are no TV's in the room which at first concerned me but then you realise take advantage of this little retreat and relax, read, and just take in the tranquil setting. My only suggestion would be to have on offer a " picnic box" for your room to be purchased from reception which can include a bottle of wine- cheese, crackers, salami, blanket etc. Some may want to just enjoy the farm and picnic on the lawns in front of room whilst the sun goes down. We loved our stay and would recommend Rozendal to anyone visiting.
