De Tijger Lodge is nestled in the very popular and central Suburb called De Tijger, which is situated at the foot of the Tygerberg Hills. Conveniently located, it boasts easy access to the N1 Freeway, the famous Cape wine-lands, excellent golf courses, Cape Town CBD, Medical Facilities and only 8.6 Km from Cape Town International Airport. The name Tygerberg (de Tijger) is a legacy of early settlers, who mistakenly identified endemic Leopards as "Tijgers". The owners Deon and Johann offer guests a place to unwind, a place to relax and rejuvenate and a place where you will feel at home. Our lodge is also rumoured to boast the best breakfast in town (just what you need to start your day) All 8 bedrooms are decorated to an extremely high standard offering 100% Egyptian cotton linen (400 thread count) and include all the necessary facilities as well as a full DSTV Bouquet. Rooms are serviced daily and any other request will gladly be considered. The establishment has a lounge/dining room, indoor and outdoor braai facilities and all the rooms have sliding doors leading onto a picturesque garden and sparkling swimming pool. A Shopping Village comprising of a Green Grocer, 2 Beauty Salons, Laundromat, Take-away/Pub and an Engen Garage are all merely a 2 minute walk away. We also offer a Shuttle service for up to 8 Passengers at the most competitive rate by pre-arrangement. We really take pride in the service we offer and look forward to welcoming you, be it for leisure or a business trip. Why would you stay anywhere else?

If you're looking for a good base to rest whilst on holiday in Cape Town you would find it impossible to get a better valued proposition. The hosts are extremely hands on, without being intrusive. Fast Wi-Fi, good sized rooms, a courtyard to relax, breakfast menu changes daily and personal dietary preferences are accommodated.

Great, Marvellous, Always the best. We always receive the best treatment at De Tijger and will never use another lodge/guesthouse when we travel to the City of Cape town. Our hosts are the best ever and they always willing to assist with whatever we need during our stay. It is more like visiting friends. Love these guys

I went to De Tijger in December in the midst of lockdown. When we got there Deon and Johan made us feel welcome and safe. We had the cleanest of rooms and the most amazing hospitality. The breakfasts were out of the world and they catered for a vegetarian amazingly. It felt like we were at our parents place. They took really good care of us. This would be our new home away from home in Cape Town. If ever you in Cape Town I think this is a place to stay. Bravo to Deon and Johan on their amazing hospitality.

One of the best lodges I've been to, infact the best in Capetown. The hospitality is number one for me with delicious food prepared to your unique desire, rooms are comfy with a great variety of dstv channels, a lovely backyard garden with a pool which was lovely. I would book there again and highly recommend that people reading this would too. Thanks for hosting me it's highly appreciated, see you soon.

We stayed for 8 days and we highly recommend this B&B. It is maintained to the highest standard and the rooms are beautifully appointed and clean. The beds are very comfortable. The hosts, Deon and Johann are most welcoming and cater to your every need. They make you feel at home. The B&B is centrally located and close to all amenities in and around the city. The breakfasts are wonderful and we can certainly say probably the best we’ve had. There is onsite parking and good security. Thank you Deon and Johann, we commend you.

Absolutely amazing!
From the moment I was welcomed by Deon and Johann, until the moment I departed, I was treated with utmost respect and friendliness. I have never felt so much at home anywhere else. The service is phenomenal and they are always willing to go the extra mile no matter what requested. The lodge is beautiful, the rooms are excellent and the garden is stunning.
A huge thank you to Deon, Johann and the staff of De Tijger lodge, you guys are amazing!!
I recommend you to anyone visiting Cape Town.

What an excellent place to stay. A proper home away from home. Everything was perfect from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. Comfortable rooms, full DSTV, air conditioning and may i add the tidy and cleanliness of the whole establishment. The owners Deon and Johan really went out of their way to help us with anything we needed. They are indeed excellent hosts. We highly recommend this lodge above all.
P.S. Try to book over a Thursday night, Deon and Johan make the best steaks on their Steak Night Thursdays!

Thank you so much, Deon and Johann, for welcoming us into your lovely home again. We always enjoy staying here. The breakfast is always tasty and we love the chat with you in the morning. Such a great place, owned by such amazing people. They are so warm and welcoming. The rooms were cozy, and I particularly loved that they had an electric blanket. Our business visits the lodge regularly, and for these reasons, we will always return. Thank you.
