When doing the booking telephonic ally I asked if the chalets was wheelchair friendly, I was told yes so I booked a chalets. Inside it was, but outside was a high step which was difficult for me to enter. I was given a room that was easy to enter. If the chalets could have a ramp. Beside the step We had a very great time at Du Kloof Lodge.

Attended a party on New Year's day- our friends slept over. The self catering accommodation is quaint and adequate, but not luxurious. The Braai (Barbeque) facilities were all booked out by 7 am by families using them for the day. I expected the river to be deeper, but was only around mid calf or knee height in most places. You have to traverse lots of beautiful rocks in the river. Might be a good idea to wear river shoes.

They have trout fishing facilities available- you can hire a rod and fish in the fish pools.

We went to Du Kloof Lodge for a family reunion. Our stay was comfortable and pleasant. They have various accommodation to choose from. We stayed in the Courtyard Room which was spacious and very nicely furnished. Coffee station, small fridge, aircon, TV.
The chalets were comfortable but not as nice; interior needs maintenance and new furniture. TheLodge itself is in a beautiful setting between the mountains. There is a vast lawn for children to play on in front of the chalets. Secure parking.
We ate breakfast and dinner at the on site restaurant. Food was good and the staff very friendly, but the service unfortunately very slow.

We got married on the 21st and stayed over for a few nights as the first leg of our honeymoon.
The mountains are absolutely breath taking and the restaurant is very nice as well.
Prices are good for what you get! Will definitely return someday.
Room cleaning and refilling of the water and coffee/milk lacked even after we asked. We told the restaurant that the workers for the rooms weren't coming by, he was very surprised of the service we were receiving and gave us a jug of milk and more cups which was very nice.
Further no problems, very good service in the other areas of our stay and wedding.

My wife and I had the most amazing experience at Du Kloof Lodge, the experience was beyond our most optimistic expectations, the room that we were inn was very spacious and clean and so beautiful and the views from our room was breathtaking, the views at the river site are just out of this world and the water is crystal clear and breathtaking. The food is so delicious and affordable. We will definitely make it our second home

Best establishment I've been to.. Enjoyed the service there.Staff assistance is bad. Upon our arrival we were standing in reception for about 15min before we got assisted with our booking. Staff not very helpful as we were just given the key and not escorted to our room. We had to go and search for our room which didn't take us long because the place is not that big so you can't get lost. We booked a deluxe room specifically for the bath including the shower instead we got a room with only a shower. I was very irritated at the fact that they couldn't provide us with a room that includes a bath and a shower as they only had 3 rooms with baths and all of them was already booked We mainly went there for the hiking trail which we found was okay 4 out of 10 rating. The problem with the hiking trail is that you have to follow the arrows there is no map provided. You have to estimate by yourself as to where exactly you are. Another note on the hiking trail is the arrows wasn't all very visible we found most of the times we had to look for the arrows indicating in which direction. Also the Hiking trails are not very well maintained that being said most of the path is not visible also when you get to last path in your return of the 8 hour hiking trail we found ourselves chelanged by a thorn bush which we highly struggled to get through but we menaged to get through it eventually. The thorn bush delayed us in 30 min to our destination.

Friendly staff and breathtaking surroundings are what you can expect to find at Du Kloof Lodge. The lodge is perfect for day visits or staying over. Beautiful fountains and water features contribute to the lodge's relaxing environment. The river is a short walk from the lodge and is the perfect "swimming pool" on a hot day. The restaurant offers fresh, delicious meals, and the staff is caring, friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Du Kloof Lodge!

Fell in love with the venue when I
Saw it 3 months ago and sure I return to experience firsthand . Very scenic ,serine and beautiful venue. Unfortunately they dont cater halaal meals and we chose to drive to Mountain Mill Mall for each meal.

Very nice lodge. Very clean, very beautiful and value for money. Will definitely stay there again.

The accommodation was way more than what we expected and paid for. Absolutely stunning. A big thank you to the friendly staff. Cape Town has many travel accommodation locations but I am happy to say this was one of the best I have stayed in, very comfortable and fun.

The place is beautiful and the views are breath taking. The hosts are going out of the way to make you feel welcome. Feels like family. Food and especially the carrot cake was delicious. Great to go with kids or without
