Set in a tranquil residential area, this Guesthouse was a blessing after being on our road trip for hours. The room interiors are artfully and elegantly styled with all the amenities available that you would find at an upmarket hotel. The breakfast was divine, with special attention to fresh herbs and home made products (the muesli is a must). Owner Rachelle made us feel right at home.
Lovely stay. Hostess very friendly. Beautiful house. Safe environment beautiful garden close to paarl mediclinic hospital and restaurants. Well equipped rooms, kitchen lounge. will use 5 konings again.
5 Konings was awesome. Spacious, clean and nicely decorated rooms. The owners are great and very helpful. We could not fault anything and will definitely visit again in future. Truelly the perfect stay!
We received a warm friendly welcome and the slept in a neat king size bed. We had to leave real early the next morning so we couldn't experience breakfast. Next time we definitely will. Would recommend this.
5 Konings provided an excellent stay for the weekend. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable and the towels smelled amazing. Aircon units in the rooms were a big plus. Off-street, secure parking at no extra cost was also great. I would definitely stay at 5 Konings again.
Dad asked for tranquillity, silence and a comfortable place to prepare and rest after a medical procedure nearby. We were so blessed! We received various forms of touchable Godly Grace from our arrival to our depature 3 days later. New acquaintanceships flow gracefully forth.
We travelled into Paarl for a wedding on 15 January 2022. 5 Konings was perfect for our one-night stay accommodation requirements. We stayed in the Royal Mint room which was fitted with aircon (a must for this time of year), a spacious bathroom (big shower), tea/coffee and kettle amenities, lots of plug points, block out curtains, a flat screen TV with access to DSTV and some cupboard space. Whilst there is no fridge/cooking amenities/sitting area in the room, it it does lead onto a common kitchen / living area (the door leading onto the common area can be locked). Regarding the outdoor amenities, there is secure parking, a large pool (unfortunately we did not see this on the website so we didn’t bring our cozzies But would have loved to have swam!), braai areas and a small table outside the room. No breakfast is offered on the weekends but there are sufficient cafes / breakfast restaurants open to choose from. The host/owner is very warm and welcoming and willingly accommodated our earlier than usual check out time. There is a card facility available to swipe for the balance of your stay. Unfortunately no shuttle services are available but Uber is available. In any event, the venue is quite to close to many of the popular wedding venues should you choose to drive. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. …
Got upgraded to a better and bigger room at no extra expence. Owner is lovely, very clean and quiet location. Was very pleasantly surprised. Will definitely be back to stay again. And will recommend to anyone.
Rachelle runs her guest house with extreme professionalism. She is actively involved with her guests and makes sure you as a guest are comfortable and cared for. The rooms are decorated with quality finishes and exclusive taste with everything you need and more. It provides tranquility and a peaceful rest. The best of it all is it is WELL PRICED!
This woman that owns the place was so rude that she even chased me out, so unprofessional. The treatment given is like you are in a boarding school. She wanted me to pay for my friend who came to visit, saying I must not bring people as they use their water. She clearly is racist and don't respect people in general. She even cursed me calling me names in afrikaans. I don't advise anyone to use this facility. The parking will make you feel like going back to driving school. Small rooms and smelt like paint with no flooring.
