It was like a dream! We were swept away by yet romance and charm surrounding Bakenhof from the moment we first visited! There glass venue provided a picturesque backdrop for our wedding day.
The staff at Bakenhof (and hired suppliers) impressed us with their warmth and professionalism. They seamlessly guided us through the planning process, offering valuable insights and ensuring that every detail was tailored to our vision.
The beauty of Bakenhof speaks for itself, but it was the exceptional service that truly set this venue apart. The team went above and beyond to ensure that our guests were well taken care of, from the impeccable catering to the seamless coordination of our event. We had a lot of comments from our families praising how smooth the wedding went! They felt really cared for and there was a good amount of attention on each guest.
Our wedding at Bakenhof was a dream come true, and we are forever grateful to the entire team for their part in making it so magical. We personally loved the rose garden and get ready suite as such beautiful memories were created there! We believe we got really good value for our money and without hesitation, we highly recommend Bakenhof to anyone seeking a truly unforgettable wedding experience ❤️

We recently celebrated our wedding at Bakenhof, and it was a truly memorable experience. The venue’s scenic location between the vineyards provides a stunning backdrop for our ceremony and reception.
The staff was friendly and accommodating, always quick to respond to our questions and extremely helpful. They made sure everything was set up as we envisioned and made sure everything runs smoothly.
Overall, Bakenhof was a beautiful and charming venue for our big day. We cannot recommend this venue enough.

We celebrated our wedding at Bakenhof in December 2024, and it was truly a magical experience from start to finish! The lead-up to the day was seamless, and the day itself was absolutely perfect. The Bakenhof team was professional, attentive, and genuinely supportive throughout the entire process, making us feel like we had true partners in creating our dream wedding. Their meticulous planning ensured everything went off without a hitch, allowing my husband and I to fully enjoy the day without a moment of stress.
The venue itself is breathtaking—one of the most stunning locations in the area, in my opinion—and it far exceeded our expectations in every way.

The best experience yet. We stayed in the Kolkol Garden view room and it is absolutely beautiful from the views to the very stylish room. Surrounded by all the mountains and beautiful nature around you, we relaxed in the hot tub. It is so peaceful, beautiful and completely private. We loved it so so much and would recommend them to everyone. If you are looking for best quality stay, Bakenhof will defenitely not disappoint you. It was hands down the best luxurious stay I have had, Thank you Bakenhof!!!

Bakenhof was professional and efficient from arrival until we left the premises. Their staff ensures a very smooth, worry and stress free experience on your wedding day - with coordinators taking the lead. The accommodation is also very nice and elegant. The best place ever! The service was excellent. I stayed in the honeymoon suite on the pre-night of my wedding and then we spent our honeymoon there! Beautiful views, excellent service and the best guest house that i have ever visited. Thank you Bakenhof!!!!

We unfortunately only spent one night at this tranquil and peaceful guesthouse. its situated in the middle of the wine district in Paal. Surrounded by lots of other wine farms and the beautiful mountains. The guesthouse has 5 beautifully decorated rooms, which we booked as a group of friends attending a wedding near by. We stayed in the honeymoon suite, very spacious with white and mirrors all around the room. The bed is comfortable, the room has its own lounge, kitchen and outside patio aread where you can relax watching the sun rise or take a walk on the garden. There is a pond outside with ducks & a you might bump into a beautiful peacock while walking around the gardens.
Breakfast was good and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
If you want a tranquil getaway from the city this is your place.

The guesthouse is part of an estate planting grapes. The hosts Heidi and Michael are fantastic. The views are very lovely and the rooms spacious and very homy. Wellington is a short drive from CPT airport and its a perfect location to discover the cape area with all the highlights and outstanding restaurants and vineries.
