We had a lovely one night stay in the family room. The room was very comfortable and met our needs very well. Louise met us and tended to us during our stay and kindly loaned us an umbrella for the rainy weather that had been forecast.

A very quiet and private place, this is very a romantic set up and the pool is situated around the rokms for easy access. I enjoyed my stay with them. Although they are very health cautious breakfast will leave you hungry before leaving the are. They could improve on that. But the accommodation is clean and secure. If you love wines this is for you. 😌

Everything was very nice, slept well, very friendly staff, will definitely go again. I only would've loved a fruit salad, muesli and yoghurt to be included in the breakfast as well. Nonetheless, everything was very nice.

We booked 1 Double room for 2 adults & 1 infant (9 months ) on a short notice, a day prior arriving via telephone with one of their employees. He was very helpful and friendly over the phone when I made the reservation. He confirmed the price for the 3 of us with ZAR 896.00 including breakfast. On arrival the rather unfriendly owner explained that this price would have been for an occupancy of 1 adult and charged ZAR 1,145.00 WITHOUT breakfast. Later I checked the rate again online through “booking.com” and the price there was even cheaper at ZAR 837.25 for 2 adults plus 1 infant ( younger than 1 year ) and this was inclusive of breakfast. This attitude of the owner is another bad example of same B&B’s to simply make incorrectly extra money . In addition the pool was covered and not usable. The photos on the website also clearly do not rectify the actual condition of this B&B. Opened in 1990 it’s a bit outdated with hardly any privacy because of the closeness of the other rooms and owners accommodation .

Rhys and his wife are wonderful people who made us feel at home from the very first minute of our visit, Always friendly, extremely helpful and with a good sense of humor. Also their staff is very friendly and helpful. Beautiful rooms and a large pool with always sparkling clear water. The location is very quiet and ideal for excursions around the Western Cape, including Cape Town. We stayed four weeks at this fantastic place, so we know what we are talking about. There is not enough space in this review to mention all the highlights we've experienced at the A'Queenslin Guesthouse. We'll definitely visit this great place again. Thanks for making our holidays so special. Cornelia and Klaus
