The homestead is the original farmhouse of the farm, Nantesvue. The farm was awarded to Jan Coleman in 1692. It was one of the first farms in the Paarl area that was allocated to the French Huguenots. The current stand and house are all that is left of the original farm of 20 acres. The exact date of the erection of the house is unknown, but it seems to be somewhere between 1824 and 1830.During this period the farm belonged to Pieter Jacobus de Villiers. According to local town records, the water mill, Colonies Mill, was already in operation shortly after the farm was allocated. It is evident from the records that at this point in time there were already several buildings on the farm. Nantes-Vue is a beautiful B&B in Paarl and is an ideal accommodation venue in close proximity to Cape Town, the Cape Winelands and various top class golf courses. The town of Paarl is also the starting point of the Cape's famous Route 62. This B&B is situated on Paarl's historical Mill Street. The welcoming corridor of the house leads to a private garden with a splash pool and gazebo. There is also a wooden deck where guests can enjoy the South African sunshine. The four en-suite bedrooms are spacious and have high ceilings that are characteristic of the Cape Dutch style. All rooms are air-conditioned and have its own private entrance. One of the rooms is a quaint garden cottage ideally suited for families. The rooms feature LCD TV's with DStv and DVD players. Free Wi-Fi is available in the communal areas. Every room comes with a seating area and is equipped with an electric kettle and mini fridge. This B&B is stylish while the traditional dining area with its fireplace add a homely feeling. In the evening guests can relax in front of the fire place while reading a book from the B&B's small library.

Detailed Reviews
Our host was friendly and helpful with any questions we had on places to eat. The room had everything we needed and the small garden onto which our room opened was private and peaceful. Woul definitely stay at Nante Vue again.

Had a comfortable stay at Nantes-Vue.
Our host was really friendly and accommodating towards myself and friends who stayed over as well.
We only stayed over one night so we never fully made use of the resources to offer but our stay was delightful nonetheless.
Will certainly return.

The hostess at this place was very accommodating. I really appreciated the fact I could be accommodated at such a short notice when I desperately needed a place to stay. The place was located ideally close to where I needed to go for my particular trip. I really liked the homely set up at Nantes-Vue. The garden at the back was wonderful and the view of the mountains in the background was quite stunning. If I ever return to Paarl and need a place to stay I will not hesitate to try staying at Nante-Vue once again. I believe that it is actually rare to receive the type of wonderful service that I received at this place. Sometimes you need to deal with people on a human level and Nantes-Vue presents such an opportunity.

Nantes-Vue is conveniently located on the outskirts of the CBD in Paarl. It is a character property (Cape Dutch) with a beautiful garden.
We had a beautifully furnished & spacious room, with super comfy beds. Great Wi-Fi available & watched Netflix in the evenings.
Shani & her team served delicious & hearty breakfasts.
A BIG thanks for the exceptional hospitality ~ we will defiantly see you again!

If you are looking for a central, well-equipped stay, Nantes-vue is your answer! Shani was extremely friendly and helpful and the property was clean, well-equipped with anything you could need or think of. The loft is perfect for a group of friends and feels like a separate house in it’s own.

What a lovely place with a beautiful view of the mountains from the top terrace. The service was excellent and the room was very comfortable and we'll equipped. The stunning old-world communal kitchen is a bonus! Shani went out of her way to make my stay comfortable! I would return any day.

I stayed for 4 nights. My room, no. 1, was beautiful. Slept like a baby…beds better than my own. Huge shower, bath. Fridge and coffee machine. The wifi was great and very fast. The neighborhood is quiet and a nice rest is garanteed after a busy day. They are also willing to do your washing. Great breakfast. Will surely visit again.

"I have seen only the little guest house in the garden, but there are also rooms avaolable in the main building. I can imagine that the guest house gives extra privacy. It has 2 storeys, upstairs are 2 beds so you have the 1st floor for spending time during the day."Read full review
