Zeekoe- a lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings. The staff were always at hand should you need them, and ready to answer any query you may have. The dinner was good food with a local flavour - though not fine dining but always beautifully presented and very tasty. The grounds were very well maintained and there was a lot of communal space both indoors and outdoors where you can relax and either hook up to the Wi-Fi or watch the bird life. The rooms were really beautifully furnished with a good size balcony offering a lovely view and had some lovely touches including a decanter of sherry in the room. There’s plenty to do in the area including a meerkat safari which can be organised by the hotel. We also drive the Swartberg Pass which is worth a few hours of anyones time. Highly recommended.

We ate in the restaurant which was very nice , recommend the Ostrich Steak which is very reasonably priced along with the wine. The scenery along the way is quite stunning. It’s probably worth the visit while your travelling the Garden Route

What an amazing Oasis when travelling to Oudtshoorn. The staff was very friendly, the food was top quality and freshly cooked and the accommodations were very stylish and "warm". The Outdoor shower is a must, and so cool under Karoo Lit Evening Skies!

All Owner run, and hands on. Feels like family when you arrive there!

Meerkat Safaris, a MUST DO!

De Zeekoe is ideally situated. Just outside Oudtshoorn so it's easy to nip into town but on a farm where you would never guess anything is close by. 3 Stone Cottages are furnished with all you would need and it's pretty to look at too! Nothing compares to the view though. Each stoep has its own braai and seating to take in the view (have I mentioned the view?!). A few steps away (by stone path) a plunge pool with its own seating awaits. I can't believe I haven't heard of this place before - it ticks all the boxes.

We stayed here for 2 nights during our Garden Route holiday. It's a stunning location; our room was lovely with a four poster bed with mosquito nets, large bathroom with shower and stand alone bath, a balcony with a hanging basket chair and all the necessary facilities in the room. The farm had a generator for load shedding which kept lights going in the restaurant and rooms - a very important factor as the country is experiencing power cuts 2-3 times a day for 2-3 hours a time and there is no ambient light which means you can experience the stars! We ate in the restaurant both evenings and had a lovely meal with good wines. Staff were really friendly and helpful and made our stay very special.

Paula and your staff at Zeekoe - thank you very much for my wonderful stay at your guesthouse. Your hospitality and professionality was outstanding. What I treasured the most was that even though I came alone, everybody made me feel welcome. Your breakfasts were divine. My room was beautiful and can at any time compare to the best in the world. What I miss the most are the sunsets from your restaurant.
I am definitely coming back soon.
Keep up your fantastically high standards.
May God bless you all.

I had a most splendid stay for a few days at De Zeekoe Guest farm. The accommodation (stone cottage) was luxurious and private with a swimming pool and spectacular views. The weather was amazing and I enjoyed several runs and walks on the many pathways on the farm. The staff were super friendly and helpful and it made our stay unforgettable. Last but not least is the elegant restaurant that serves for example ostrich steaks supplied by local farmers and fresh veg and salad straight from their garden. All in all De Zeekoe Guest Farm provides a unique stay in Africa and is well worth a visit - - considering as well
all the great things to do in the vicinity like the meerkat adventures!

My room was unbelievable as was the view from my balcony! Sadly, due to the time of year I couldn’t spend as much time outside as I would have like but it was blooming cold. If you head here in their winter time, please prepare yourself with many layers and gloves, you will be able to spend more time enjoying the scenery without wussing out and heading towards the heated blankets on the bed. Saying that, the heated blankets were VERY welcome! Weather aside, this is a lovely place to stay and the staff were incredibly helpful and nice. Theo kindly spent considerable time phoning my tour operator about an arranged tour, Yaudrey (apologies if I have spelt that incorrectly) helped me upon arrival and onwards. Yolandi was another member of staff who was very helpful and I thank them all. Thoroughly recommended for staff, view, heated blankets and location for local outings such as Ostrich Farms and Cango Caves. I heartily recommend the Meerkat Safari. Take gloves, hats and tights in winter time.

We spent a lively three nights here, the room was large and airy with a lovely view from a raised balcony.
The pool area is small but very clean and the pool was a perfect temperature.
The only criticism we had was the quality of the food, the breakfast was very limited and what there was was not great. At dinner I ordered battered fish and it looked like it had come out of a box in a freezer at the supermarket.

What a beautiful place with a balcony where you can have a view over the wide area and the mountains. Our room was gorgeous with an inside an outside shower and a king sized bed. The staff there is very friendly. One of the points to be mentioned is that Zeekoe has an own restaurant so you do not have to worry about dinner when you arrive after a five hour drive. The breakfast is also served on a high level. There are so many things to do and pretty close to Zeekoe, we attended the Meerkat Tour and the Ostrich Safari, which both was very interesting. We really enjoyed our stay there and recommend.
