We went to the very family-friendly restaurant and experienced a magnificent sunset with great food and wine in an extraordinary scenery. Staff was very nice and the value for money was really good!!!

Were a bit disapointed due to the fact that we rent a tent close to the water and got a tent in the field away from the waterhole. Could not see lots of animals around the waterhole. Tent was a unforgetable great experience, we wont miss! Would book anytime again. Great dinner (except hamburger) and breakfast. Enjoyed our stay thank...

Always a pleasure arriving at Buffelsdrift and sad to leave. Best food we ever had in the country. Looking forward to our next visit..!! We even got some special treatment as we were locals and it was our second visit to this reserve.

The best way to experience the wild - in a friendly setting, with great staff who are always at the ready to assist. Knowledgeable tour guides also make the game drives an informative and fun experience. Will definitely consider as an option when in the area again in the future and I recommend this highly if you enjoy the "glamping"/gaming...

The food is below par. The menu looks good. But does not deliver. The service from the front desk and the servers were not very good either. The game drive driver was amazing and the room and setting is well worth it though.

We were at Buffelsdrift for a lunch and dinner. That were 2 amazing experiences. Having lunch near the pool, seeing wild animals passing by. We got lucky with 3 hypos in the water and rhinos passing by. Food is also VERY good, the staff is also friendly! A must have seen on your trip!

Loved everything here! The location. The scenic view. The tents. The food. The service...The Elephant walk was awesome!!! Very recommendable even if the birds are at night pretty loud but they even provide earplugs and it is part of being so close to nature!

Stayed in one of the nice safari tents; views, coming up and close with the elephants & game drives in the private game reserve are amazing, early up in the morning to see a family of meerkats waking up. Nyala's & springboks are walking in between the tents.

We had the Luxury Waterfront Apartment, wich is as least as beautiful as the pictures promise. In the Water in front of us was a Hippo swimming, Giraffes, Antilopes and elephants were passing by too. We were staying next to the beautiful Pool, which is also directly at the waterfront. The Bush Safari was also very nice! The animals are...

Buffelsdrift Game Lodge is a sprawling game farm situated in the foothills of the Swartberg Mountains in the Cango Valley, Oudtshoorn. Only 5 hours drive from Cape Town and less than an hour's drive from George Airport. This game farm is located 6.5 Km outside of Oudtshoorn, en-route to the Cango Caves. Pristine bushveld, lush vegetation and a 5 hectare dam provide a haven for twenty-two game species and more than 217 bird species. In May 2004 this beautiful Nature Reserve became part of the 6th South African World Heritage Sites offering a wealth of endemic plant species. It is our aim to bring the highest quality of service to our guests and to this end we try to anticipate their every need.Buffelsdrift Game Lodge offers 9 waterfront, 16 luxury and 4 family tents each one with en-suite bathroom and private outdoor shower, air-conditioning, mini-bar, digital safe, tea / coffee making facilities and a game viewing deck. We can accommodate a total of 66 guests in our 29 tents either with twin or king size beds. A lookout lounge is situated next to the reception with a large round stone fireplace in the middle, overlooking our dam with the Swartberg Mountain Range in the distance. A charming wedding chapel is situated on the edge of a natural water hole with a wide wooden deck as entrance. The deck is an extension to the A la carte restaurant which creates a beautiful space for wedding guests to take their seats and witness the couple exchanging their wedding vows. Conferencing at Buffelsdrift Game Lodge is quite unique. Our fully equipped conference hall is situated right next to the dam, and also extends onto the deck connecting to the restaurant.
