This was one of the best hotels or guesthouse we stayed at during our entire African holiday, and was also the cheapest. Our bedroom was huge and tastefully furnished in traditional wood. It included a large lounge area with multiple seating options, and a huge bathroom with separate bath, shower and twin wash basins. We opted for the evening meal...

The suite was amazing, big and comfortable. The staff was super welcoming as well. The perfect place to relax with a great pool and beautiful views of the Swartberg Mountains. Such a peaceful place, I would love to come back sometime!

We had a wonderful stay at La Plume. We used the Entertainer and therefore only had to pay for one night, while staying 2. This obviously made the stay very affordable. The rooms are tastefully decorated and make you feel like a royal :-) We felt like sleeping on the Titanic. The only thing which could have been better was...

Exquisite place to stay in Oudtshoorn! Close to the village but far enough to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the countryside. We got there by car. And we stopped for one night on our way from Plettenburgh Bay to Stellen bosch. We are a family of 5 and were given an adorable cottage. It was big enough, with its...

La Plume is a very charming "old world" decorated working Farm featuring multi levels of agriculture to surround the guest accommodations. Dining was fabulous and the Ostrich filet was a unique and wonderful treat. Too bad we can't get this meat at home in Canada -- it would be a most welcome staple for the grill and smoker alike. Evening...

We stayed at La Plume for two nights in the honeymoon suite next to the restaurant called Wings. The accommodation was very good as was the pool. Drinks before dinner on the terrace were magical but the food in the non air conditioned dining room was only average. You were served you main course at the table then had to...

This was a lovely place to stop over The room had lovely decor and the bathroom large . The pool was a welcome treat after a day in the heat. The table place settings were exquisite and reflected a bygone era. Food was good Tried the ostrich steak, not my favorite but it might be for some Very accommodating staff.

Lovely new accommodation built on this ostrich farm. We stayed in one of the new suites which had a small patio. Some of the other rooms are small. The best thing about La Plume is a tour of the ostrich farm with the owner to learn about how ostriches are reared and the business of ostrich farming. The lovely new...

La Plume guest house is an Ostrich farm 18kms from Oudtshoorn. It is remote and unless you wish to pay the 180ZR taxi fare to go and dine out you are trapped there( plus the 180 back again ) . The accommodation is beautiful, spacious , well equipped and the staff willing. The views over the farms are engaging and...
